if it's the TFA DRY4 you have then 8-10% seems to be good for most people although I've seen it used up to 15% I use it around the 8-10% mark myself...
It is decent right after the mix, but the caramel does come out more if you let it steep.. give it a good 3 weeks. To get you started I'd make 4 batches of equal size what you'd use in a week and then as each week passes you can see how it changes from week to week and you can then see what is best for you...
The DYR4 like everyone has said is always better with a little caramel - I use caramel candy and vanillin or vanilla swirl...
