Pretty intriguing isn't it. How nice would it be to order something that does and performs exactly the way it is suppose to. I'm not really talking about regular attys and cartos but more along the lines of the clearomizers, smokimizers, visions, those type of things. Not having to remove those bridges, fluff the wicks, widen the slots for better wicking and so on. Don't get me wrong, I love to tinker and fiddle with things to get them working just that much better ALMOST as much as Mindfield does:p (great tutorials by the way) but it would be nice to just to pop one of these out of the package, fill with juice and BAM your in business. Just my :2c:

O.K. my little rant is over, wishing all my fellow Canadians and all ECF users for that matter a Happy New Year!

I need a drink and a vape.
Cheers:toast:

I'd whole heartedly agree.

A product that doesn't work out of the box is a POS; something that should have been heavily beta tested, but instead was:

1. Prematurely released out of greed by a Chinese Manufacturer.

2. Greedily received by the western reseller(s) and sold to customers.

3. Customers get excited, especially when said product is rebranded as SUPER FUSION MAXOMIZERS or something like that, and buy it.

4. Other suppliers get worried that they don't have this new product, because their customers, after prematurely glazing their monitors from the excitement of something new, ask them why they aren't carrying this new God-Send.

5. More suppliers get the same dud.....some even brand it HE-MAN-FLUX-CAPACITOR-MAXO-THERMAL-GODZOMIZERS, which creates further excitement as the original customers of the SUPER FUSION-MAXOMIZERS are now contacting the supplier to ask what the difference is between the theirs and the new HE-MAN (only the logo).

6. More confusion ensues as customers try and find the factory or chinese reseller where these originate, to beat the prices. Some succeed, some only find the SHE-GIRL-MINO-MIZERS that are just knock-offs.

7. Even worse, some of the customers who find this new SHE-GIRL-MINO-MIZER, buy it and open up a company, selling it as a HE-MAN, which is really a SUPER FUSION, which is really what should have been a beta product that nobody ever should have purchased.

8. Buyers remorse.....worldwide. Some pretend the product is really good, because in some cases, with a specific type of liquid in a specific type of circumstance, similar to the specific way you needed to hold the iphone 4 so it wouldn't lose your signal, it did work, sort of.

9. The creative hobbyists and reviewers figure out a way for everyone who got screwed into buying these products to now be able to actually somewhat use them. Some people even adapt a mind-set of, "that's what you get with e cig stuff, you need to prime them or prep them or tweak them or dry burn them, etc etc" (kudos to those who do).

10. The new SUPER-HE-MAN-FUSION-SHE-GIRL-INFUSED-ULTRA-MIZER V2 is released by a chinese manufacturer, to the chagrin of the anxiously waiting western supplier, who has a 3 month lead-time to start the whole cycle all over again, before everyone else jumps on board and fuels the mayhem of "the new e cig product".

There are most definitely exceptions to this and while I am hopeful... our industry seems to be largely based on this cycle.

It is most certainly a unique occurrence with e cigs. I've never heard of needing to recook my McDonald's burger in order for it to be edible, or bleeding my feet in my new Nike shoes for 2 weeks before they are as comfortable as walking on a cloud.

Happy New Year Vapers!

Most of them work right out of the box. Wait after a week or so and issues begin to crop up. What do you expect? Small batteries, small cartridges, not to mention adding liquid into the mix. Naa, I wouldn't expect much.

Most do work right out of the box, sure, but not like they should. Otherwise there would not be tutorials how to "mod" them to get them working better. Don't have to wait a week for issues to crop up, ordered 2 visions 1st one the LED quits after1.5 hours and the other one leaks on the first fill. Not that small of battery on my Knight Rider (18650). They can put a man on the moon but can't or won't design a properly functioning clearomizer, vision or whatever that will wick properly and get no burning or dry hit .....Weird.....

Pherse - I think you have spoken for a whole lot us! And absolutely brilliantly written addition to the post, Chaseman! Still chuckling ... Am going to give the Vision a chance as well as a Boge carto as there have been so many raves about them. But ... if neither of them 'does it for me' ... CEV introduced me to Kanger cartos which I am loving. If neither of these other options tops them, I'm sticking with Kangers and will have to stop haunting this forum so I'm not tempted by any of the latest and greatest ... :)

Can a Yank give her:2c: I've tried most of the mods and attys/carto's.........for my $ I've gotten my best experiences with the Provari and the Little Sister vari cool vv. To either of these I add a Jonboy usmc Lava tank with Boge 2.0 carto. No dry hits, I can dial in the voltage I want, the tank lasts me a whole day and vapes like a perpetually topped off cart:) Just my opinion........backs out of the Canuck forum.......

After the little leaking issue on my vision and Mindfields mod I am actually really enjoying it.

I love the V's LOL... I remember the a product from 2 years ago that shall remain nameless that was up to V5 and still wouldn't stop melting down... Mind you they did it without the 3 month lead time, allowing suppliers to send 4 more duds to your angry customer.

Great whole post, sums it all up very very well..

Happy New Year and what fun would it be if all this stuff was as simple as analogs? Chase the vape guys until you end up back dripping on a LR atty and an eGo battery :) If only there wasn't so much cool stuff in between.
