Something weird with the e-liquid...

Hello!

I use my ecig for 3 days now and yesterday night I checked the e-liquid level on the cartridge filler and I saw that the e-liquid inside was dark brown. This is not the filler witch is dark brown but just the e-liquid. So I would like to know if it's normal or dangerous.

Maybe I dis something wrong... I don't know...

Hi and welcome....no you are not doing anything wrong....some juice turns dark when exposed to heat....does it taste ok?

Yes it taste ok. No burn smell.

Really weird because I used the same eliquid before and it wasn't dark brown.

I rinsed, dry and after re-used the same eliquid and it did the same thing. Maybe I put too much or not enough liqui...???

It happens. I do believe it's caused by the juice heating up, kinda "cooks" it. If it doesn't taste bad, (burnt), it's probably ok.

No worries. It depends on the juice you use.

My cherry and orange juices don't leave color behind, but my mocha does. The juice itself is fairly light in color, but as soon as it is heated, it gets very dark brown. I believe that it is due to the flavoring. You are not doing anything wrong.

As far as safety, I don't think that any of us can answer that question with 100 % certainty. The flavorings are commonly used in the food industry, but it doesn't equal to safe to inhale the heated stuff. The good news is that if most of it stays behind in the cart, you are not getting it in your lungs.

I've noticed almost all my lighter color liquids will turn dark after awhile, too...if I leave them long enough to, anyway. I don't think it changes anything, maybe stronger? I haven't noticed a difference in taste, I can't say! Silversmyth - Hey, Hoosier.
