Tripple digits half way to home
My relief officer came in today. Have any of the older vapors just know when a young one has had a little to much schooling? He sat down with his subway sandwich, and some lays potato chips. We chat and he ask me how that stick thing is going. I tell him it's good and I was expecting a custom tank when I got home. Little more chat and then the question "How many of those do you need". I tell him all I want. "Why what are they doing for you". I explain the deal. "Well your saying their healthy". Yea it's healthy. "How can you say that with all the etc. etc. etc. We argue for a bit. I ask him if he'd like to see the studies. "What studies?" I turn to the computer and first thing is "Do you believe everything you see on the internet". A bit more discussion. He's getting very firm in his stance. Start thinking to myself that he must have had a class today.(He's in advanced EMT and don't judge him. He is really a great guy) He's got the youth and health that I wish I had. Shift's over and as I step back in the office to change out of my uniform and vest; yep you guessed it; He's opening a can of snuff. Just had to laugh and tell him to enjoy his dip and have a great evening.

You can't make everyone, and sometimes any one understand how wonderfull vaping is compaired to regular smokes. My cigar smoking friends have come to accept my vapes, and even quietly agree that my DIY vannila is great, but they try and insist they are just as bad for you. Well I figure cigars are better than regular cigerettes because good ones are more of a natural tobbacco, but you here rumors about pesticides and such. I'll stick with my vapes and extra cash. We would all buy $3.00 to $5.00 dollar cigars, and at least 2 a day. Sadly they still do. Oh well, at least we get it.:toast:

I struggled getting many people to switch to ecigs over the past 3 years. They usually always doubted me in the beginning. Most of them wouldnt even try an ecig. Then after continually seeing me do it, and me pestering them they all finally caved eventually and they're all still smoking ecigs.

I look at it like Ive extended their lives just a little bit longer.

Like a comedian I like (Tater Salad) says you can't fix stupid. LOL
I am a former 2-4 cigar a day smoker and at the same prices you quoted It got expensive and they are not getting cheaper unless you get the kind that taste nasty and you have to suck on them like sucking a golf ball through a garden hose to get a hit. LOL.
Even though I busted my budget it will still be cheaper in the long run and with out that nasty cough that nasty smell and nasty ash trays and vaping inside when the weather is over 100 F and below 40 F.
He'll figure it out in 5-20 years. LOL

The answer can be paraphrased from the first line of your signature, OP: you can't educate your away from being stupid.

And it has nothing to do with being young.

It's a completely different world, but I've talked to 60-year-old guys who readily accept the validity of art they don't personally like yet completely discount hip hop and dance music because "it's all just sampled…they aren't creating anything."

Personally, I blame daytime talk shows, Psychology Today, and WebMD for making people think that health concerns are easy.

Very well said and so much truth in that statement.

Tell that whipper-snapper that you have a friend who had them personally endorsed by a Pulmonologist, and a cardiologist. Truth.

My Pulmonologist (thanks for spellling that word for me, I just use Lung Doc) said the same thing. You should have heard the tone of his voice when I offered to show him the results from the internet. "So do you believe everything you see on the Internet?" Well that doesn't make your doctor right does it."
That's when you just have to let it go. Always know when to stop. People are all different and that's what makes the world go round. :vapor:
