It's funny, 2 weeks ago I was giggling as a friend who had started vaping about a 6 weeks before was showing off his new juice and talking about going to a vaping meet up. Now, I have been vaping for 10 days, have 3 pv's of my own, not to mention the 60ml of juice (buying some more in the morning) and now my husband and I am going to the meet up on Saturday with him and his wife! This is the quickest addiction I have ever seen, but it's so much fun! :vapor:

I discovered this site and have been on it non-stop browsing, learning, researching....but I think I may have been feeding a monster !

Whatever you do, don't start looking at Trippy Tips & Phiniac tanks. You'll be filing for bankruptcy, LOL! Oh wait, no.. that's ME. *shame* I'm addicted to pretty things...

NOW I know why some people here buy every mod they can get their hands on...why not! It is better than smoking and a lot more fun..:)
Does this sound like you....am I normal?:blush:...lol

I spent a lot when I first started. But that was part of what made quitting so easy. As you mention, and I've mentioned numerous times myself, e-cigs are more fun than smoking.

Search 'Art Glass Drip Tips' and you'll see a thread about them. They are even better in person! Yep, 510 for the most part. Sometimes 306 and io6 as well.

Ok,

First I bought South Beach smokes and quit analogs as of 1/9/12. Then I bought a bunch of cartos for them...about 25 or so. I discovered this site and have been on it non-stop browsing, learning, researching....but I think I may have been feeding a monster !

In the last 5 weeks I have bought a Chuck, Megaladon, Omega, Lavatube, GoGo Black, GoGoPlus stainless, Mega Ego XL.
I have also bought hobby tools....dremel, needle nose pliers, DIY Kit from flavorshack, Mulitimeter, digital calipers, precision knifes and more tidbits of tools. I have bought many things right here...juices, mods, batteries.

Today I am spending over 200.00 on liquid nicotine, pg,vg,tanks, sleeves, adapters, batteries and chargers, boge cartos...all in volume.

I believe I have spent about 600.00 bucks...thereabouts.
The good news is in 1.5 months smoking it would have cost me and my wife 2 PAD x 45=630.00!!

So I am about even with the cost of analogs......should be set for awhile. The fact is even if I spent this every 6 weeks or so it would only be costing me the same as analogs!! Unreal!!
I am much healthier, have a new hobby that's fun.
NOW I know why some people here buy every mod they can get their hands on...why not! It is better than smoking and a lot more fun..:)

I was like this the first few months of starting out (well not quite the money spent as you but I was buying a lot more stuff). Now that I've been doing it close to two years the obsession has worn off. I know what I like, so I don't really have the need to do much experimenting around anymore. I just buy liquids and carts when I am running low, and the occasional extra batt when one quits working. I have not found any battery that lasts longer than four to six months (I use eGO). The batt chargers are pretty flimsy too, and only have a shelf life of several months.

I sooo agree with you. I think that "beginner's obsession" i like to call it helped many of us to quit analogs as we found something to do during withdrawals to take our mind off of it. LOL And where smoking was just a dirty habit, vaping is more like a sleek hobby LOL
