Unfortunately Micro coils are going to have to wait a month or so. vape budget is totally blown at this point so ordering a lower gauge of wire isn't really in the cards. I fully intend to try this though at first opportunity!

The coil I have is definitely doing better. Quite a nice vape. Next one I will raise off the deck a bit more. I vape very low nic juice and I think it is the lack of TH hitting me.

What gauge of wire do you have?

I also had 32 gauge to start with and found if I folded it in half and then wrapped a dual wire coil I could get more wraps and a lower resistance. This is a 10/11 wrap 1.2 ohm coil.

ok Getting the Jig in the video is not going to be in the cards for awhile. Does anyone know a longish nail that is about the right diameter to do the micro coil around? The hubby said with a nail, a screw and a bit of wood (probably all from his contractor brother) we could rig something to do the same job on a temporary basis.

I have a set of drill bits for my cordless drill so I just grabbed the 1/16" bit to use.

I know better than to get anywhere near the hubby's tools. Fortunately so far my coil building has done well enough with some tools I got for myself to do some Wire jewelry making a few years ago.

I have seen some peeps copy DZ's jig in wood. But, yeah, many ways to kill a cat. Currently I just use a clamp with drill bit.

Smart Idea. It took me a minute to realize the drill bit was the tiny rod sticking out the top. The spiral of the clamp seemed WAY too big. hahahahahaha YAY for 2:30 AM and still not sleeping.

You will find the person that uses the spiral part at the top of the beanstalk! They have giant Reos there as well. Where do you think the clouds in the sky come from?:) Go to sleep now!

Sir yes sir!

(lets hope I manage it this time pushing 48 hours awake at this point)

The first weekend I EVER vaped, I couldn't sleep at all. I don't know what nic level you're using, or if insomnia is a chronic problem that has nothing to do with vaping for you....but once I lowered my nic level, I could sleep again. In fact, I started (for awhile) lowering my nic just in the evenings, and that worked. Just a thought.....:)
