Transporting the Reo Grand...

Does ANYONE use any kind of lanyard? Just joined the REONAUT family (will get my Grand on Monday) and that is all I've ever used until now. I guess a cellphone case may work with a belt clip but have any of you TRIED a lanyard? What are some other ways to carry them that you ladies especially like? I don't always carry a purse or have pockets to use. But the REO WILL be with me anyway! I visited the link in the post above but didn't really see this addressed.
Don't think anyone has wanted to put a hole in their reo's to be honest. I certainly agree, that it would make carrying a mini or grand much easier...
put mine in the cup holder of my truck, went around the corner and my grand flew across the truck and landed under my feet....i decided retrieving it off the floor everytime i wanna vape is too hard....lol....so now i'm trying to modify something to hold it in place...for now its in my hand or between the legs....

How about a lanyard on a shoestring budget – literally.
All you need is a 1 ¾ inch bike tire inner tube and a shoestring or other cloth strap. Just place the looped strap inside a piece of tube and stretch it over the mod. The 1 ¾ inch tube size on a Mini it is a rather tight fit, but I like it that way. Perhaps a 2 inch tube would work better. Note that I extend the tube ever so slightly past the bottom of the Mini. Not only does this allow me to easily stand the mod, but it also softens the lower corners of the mod quite nicely.
I have also used the same tube and a wide neoprene camera strap on a Grand and it works superbly. Instead of a full length piece of tube, I just use a couple of shorter pieces of perhaps an inch wide with one piece at the top of the mod and one at the bottom. It is quite easy to stretch these smaller pieces. I’m certain a larger diameter tube would work better, and I wish I had one, for I prefer to cover the entire REO. This results in the REO being warm to the touch when outside and with soft edges all over. Even the sides are rounded over a bit with the strap underneath.

Debb, perhaps the photo below will help. It's just a continuous loop of strap inside of an appropriate length of bike tire inner tube. Just stand the REO up, place the strap in the rubber tube, and stretch the rubber tube down and over the REO. Then adjust the strap so its along the sides of the REO. I'm pretty darn certain I struggled more with my first condom!!

Ok, since I really like lanyards I played a bit with my sewing and made a little quilted pouch lanyard for my REO grand. It allows me full access to squonk and vape without removing it from the pouch. I've already misplaced it twice so had to come up with something. Would be nice to have one from soft deerskin with some beads....maybe that will be next. Here are pics.
As a sidenote...it now has a name. My family calls it my "peace pipe" because I am more peaceful and so in turn is my household -yeah...funny people but I like it.

Debb, perhaps the photo below will help. It's just a continuous loop of strap inside of an appropriate length of bike tire inner tube. Just stand the REO up, place the strap in the rubber tube, and stretch the rubber tube down and over the REO. Then adjust the strap so its along the sides of the REO. I'm pretty darn certain I struggled more with my first condom!!

Cool idea Dogzlife! Your idea inspired mine only with cloth and a closed bottom. Someone could "girly" it up with paints if they wanted or even sewn on beads.....

Mlinky- I had to look up peyote stitch online as I wasn't familiar with it. I can see it becoming a long term project but WOW that will be beautiful. And we need something to occupy our minds and hands besides vaping. Please post when you get it done. I look forward to seeing it!
