Yah, I used to ice fish the chain a lot ... especially Lake Marie. I like Wisconsin also. Used to go to the Best Western in Kenosha every year for a board game tournament and used to Salmon and Steelhead fish the Root River in Racine. Don't do it much any more but we still like to go to the Wisconsin State Fair - love that 25 cent milk that comes in Root Beer, Banana, Strawberry, and Chocolate Flavors!

Oh yah, and I know Naperville too. Spend every Christmas Eve there ignoring my in-laws.

my cousin just moved up to lake geneva area.

and my family has been going up to padock lake in wisconson every october since before I was born. we all meet up for lunch at "the brat stop", then head over to the "brass ball fruit market", which has the best homemade apple pie you will ever eat. the old lady who used to make them passed on years ago, but her son (now well into his 60's) has been carrying on the tradition for the past 20 years or so. my family always calls in an order of 20 or so pies a few days before, and if you're lucky, he might have some apple "moush" (sp?)... fermented apple cider that is to DIE for!

you know, if it wasn't for being such cheese head packer fans, wisconson just might be alright! ;)

you know I love you right? :D

I love Lake Geneva! We actually were just out there bowling last night. The Brat Stop is about a mile from where I live. Never heard of that fruit market. There's a place off of I94 near Racine called Apple Holler. I Love their apple pies.

And the Packers/cheese head comment. Doesn't bother me a bit. I'm still an Illinoisian at heart. And I don't like football and hubby is a Bears fan. lol

LOL! Inlaws!!!

Lake Marie is in Antioch, I think. My grandparents lived in Antioch. That's a very nice town! And I've never been to the Wisconsin State Fair. We keep saying we need to do that some day. We usually go to Summerfest in Milwaukee instead. We've been going there, on and off, for over 25 years.
