I enjoy all of Heinlein works. I started off reading his young adult books (Red Planet, Have Space Suit Will Travel, etc.) and then I graduated to the better stuff. Stranger in a Strange Land, For Love Eternal..., I Will Fear No Evil, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, etc.

IMO The latter stuff should be required reading to graduate High School.

1. I was actually ignoring this thread until today. I missed out on a freebie. UGH!

2. Since I left FL, I realized no one cares about shuttle launches out here. I remember randomly seeing launch trails from home, back in Orlando. I heard something about every launch, living there. Here, I saw a news blurb, and only because it was the last launch, just a mention.

?. Kids distracted me. I forgot. Sorry.

I watched the shuttle launch on NASA TV, a channel I watch probably more than I should admit.

Had a tense countdown there. I didn't think it would launch today when there were only two seconds of hold time remaining. Launched by the skin of their teeth.

Mid day today, 29 hours before the scheduled launch of Discovery, I drove through Titusville, Florida.
I saw a few people setting up camp at their pick for launch viewing locations.

I'm spending the night 60 miles away.
With the traffic expected tomorrow, it will be an aggravating road trip of at least a couple hours' duration. And then when I get there I have to find a viewing location for myself. MUST start out at dawn to have a fighting chance. Which means, I MUST get to sleep soon. That might be the hardest part.

So how did it go NCC? Were you able to sleep? Did you get to see the launch? Details, please.....
