So, here it is thus far......
I've saved a lot vaping, especially mix in rba's and its been great...but lately I've gone to the collectors side of it or as lovingly refered to as "Vape Geek" and spending more then I'm saving.
I'm def. not complaing as its keeping me off the analogs and I love the tons of flavors that are out there. But now I've found myself looking for something thats...well me. I've gone through more APV's then I can name, just haven't found that "One" yet. Is anyone else experiencing this or am I alone in my quest for that one mighty beast of a PV to make my own?
I guess that I should mention I like to tinker a lot as well, 90% of my current collection of atomizers or Clearo's are rba...and if they aren't then I find a way to make them so.

This forum does that to you. Spend time away from forum and you are happy with what you have. Spend time on the forum and you want every gadget and toy you see. At least that is my experience.

Of course you don't need time away from the forum though. You just need time away from your credit card. I'll be happy to hold on to it for ya, just to keep you safe. ;)

On a rock floating through space
Remember that the PV side is ultimately just a holder and button for the battery. Some offer nicer looks or fancier bells and whistle but they will all ultimately perform the same at a given wattage. that being said everyone likes new toys.
If you're concerned about money, just ask yourself a simple question before clicking that buy button: do I really need it?
Chances are the answer is no. Since youre into your rebuildables spend your time here researching how to perfect your coils. Your vaping experience is bound to improve more that way than simply throwing money at the problem. Unless you enjoy doing so and can afford to. Then by all means, do what makes you happy

Everyone has different motivations and goals. My personal goal was never to save money ,though that would be nice. I think the key for me is I have found a few devices that work for me. Now I'm trying to make better liquids and spend alot of time helping newbies.

Also,I don't think there is a "one" for those of us that make it a hobby. If you are in hobbyist mode, there is something to be said for buying devices that retain their value so as to be able to recoup a large portion of the purchase price in a sale.

My wallet prevents me from getting everything that I want :) ,so I'm pretty happy with what I have. Also, being patient helps. Co-Ops are a good way to try various items at a reduced cost. For instance ,I took delivery just today of a stainless steel Sigelei Zmax kit with 4 18350 batteries,a charger, clearo (I think a ce5) ,two end caps and a zippered "ego type" storage/carrying case for $67 shipped. I think it was a good deal.

Final note: when you examine the costs of your vaping hobby, put a price on not developing a smoking related illness.

My day in day out Apv's are a P-10 and P-18 with occasional use of a BB and Icon. Wether I feel like using a cig size, cigar size or something in between it's pretty well covered. With any new device on the market I try to keep in mind they are just a battery holder, and is it something that I really must have? The best "bang for the buck" for me has been a rebuildable GG Penelope and just recently a Bulli-Smoker Classic. These two items have improved my vaping experience over any other purchase.

Part of my problem is the fear of going back to smoking. I figure if I keep buying mods I won't have the desire to go back. I wonder how many people feel the same. I quit twice before, both for 7 months, this time when I approach this time frame I will reward myself with a mod I probably shouldn't buy.

I can promise you that there isn't enough to purchase any vap'in goodies on my card...pretty much just a coaster at the moment :p.
But if you want to hold on to it...I get half of any juice you purchase on it to review..I think that's a fair deal ;)

Yah, In my vaping quest to find the perfect coil I'm learning a very valuable lesson, not everyone likes them the way I do. Its a lesson hard learned.
I've recently looked in to mechanical mods as one forum member made a good point " Less electronics in the PV the less there is to go wrong with it". I can't argue with that logic as it makes solid and sound sense. I've also learned in some cases that you get what you pay for...I'm find this especially true in atomizers, not all are created equal, neither is wire or silica wick.
I owe a deep debt of gratitude to everyone on ECF, in a short time I've learned a mountain of information. You'll have been so rock on and helpful...Thank you.

Trying new things can cost a ton of money so yes I agree, once you are happy stop looking for something better.
Sad truth is I think it is human nature to want more

I can't disagree with the want more logic...it is human nature. I'm just looking for that one spark, that just me kind of thing. I already have a really nice "Morning Vape" solution which is the eGo Twist...which was not at all intended. I suspect my final diamond in the rough PV will be much like the eGo Twist. :)

Look at it this way.
You may spend more than you would on buying cigs, but the savings are really in improved health and most likely in future health care costs. Also probably a longer life span!!

Can't disagree with that logic either...I can tell you that I'm already feeling better. Not as winded, and its a joy to be able t play with my dogs longer then I had before without wheezing horribly. I can see results and so can other people, guess that's where the magic is about choosing to vape.

When I first started vaping I was always on the hunt for the "newestbestestlatestgreatest" It takes some time to find what works best for you but not worry-you WILL find it!

Yah, it should work out of my system...maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow....but it will one day.

:banana::banana:Keep it up if you're having fun doing the collecting. At least you have something material to show for your cash rather than ashes to go in the trash. (Hey that rhymed! A poet and don't know it!!)

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, I kicked my habit, right in the...um tush.
I tried...not as good as yours, I by far do not do anyone any poetic justice I can promise you this :)
