It was great to read the thread , but it's hard to justify my overspending, I was spending about $100 a month on chew(3 cans a week)but this is so much cleaner and enjoyable, I'm waiting for my first diy set up to show up, it shipped today.. I am now fully invested and will start to to get out of the red! Haha I hope.
Just avoid the OH LOOK..A SHINY THING! and you will be fine ;)

Vaping gives you more things to do with your hands. A cigarette does that also, but you always have to look for somewhere to trash the .... when you are through. You can slip an ecig into your pocket and it won't make your clothes smell like smoke!

That, and your doctor won't always be on your case to quit vaping. Mine just asks me, "Still not smoking cigarettes?". I tell him cigarettes are still history. His next question is, "Still using your e-cigarette?". I say Yes and he says, "Good! Keep it up if it keeps you off tobacco!".

And then he goes on to the rest of the checkup.

So glad you took the plunge. Ask lots of questions when you start your mixing. Were here to help. Don't be discouraged by failures at first because we all had them and when you hit on that first great mix I can not describe the feeling you will have. It's a feeling of great joy and pride knowing it's all your own.

Here's a great place to start.

Read my blogs before getting started

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

then read hoosier's blogs.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

I spent nearly $500/month on smoking analogs when I finally quit after 25 years. Now, due to a horrible shopping addiction I spend around $150 each month on various things that I don't need for vaping. Beauty rings, drip tips, extra empty bottles and tips just cause they're on sale. VG or PG because one of them is half full so I feel I must stock up. Always the next best battery, mod, vv/vw. etc.

As for DIY supplies. With the exception of overstocking (if possible) on bases.. I've become quite the flavor hoarder. But flavors are only $1.69 each so I'll always get 10 or 12 different flavors at a time.

I have no problem with the above knowing that $350 is still going in to my bank account and not in to the next empty pack of smokes. :)

Reading now thanks again for the links I've read a few you've connected, and all had great info, my brain hurts.

So I have been vaping for a few weeks and learnt so much already.

I am still smoking normal cigarettes, but have cut down and hope to eventually cut all together.

I have ordered nic, pg, vg, bottles & syringes.... along with 5 e liquid concentrate flavours.

Bountiful:
Bountiful is for those who enjoy the pure pleasure of vaping seductive flavours. Rich and creamy milk chocolate is the perfect background for the tropical coconut taste that is probably the nearest you'll get to eating a bar of chocolate with a coconut centre. Sit back and enjoy.

BEY Nutzilla:
BeYOnd Nutzilla is an even nuttier version of our best-selling RY4 Nutzilla. A tobacco base that provides a nice smooth backdrop for the wide range of nutty flavours.

Caramel:
Indulge yourself in the forbidden world of vaping pleasure, but be warned, you might never leave! How can one man give so much pleasure to so many people? This smooth, delicious, creamy Caramel creation oozes onto the palate and languishes shamelessly!

Double Delight:
Double Delight is exactly that, the warm flavour of Chocolate giving way to the rich Caramel centre. This is a special reserve for when you want to indulge yourself and you can do it all evening without the assistance of numerous Chocolate bars!

Lemon Sicilly:
Sicilian Lemons are the best in the world, large, juicy and with a unique citrus tang. The Southern Mediterranean sun and rich Sicilian soil combine to produce a flavour that once tried, is never forgotten. Lemon Sicily lives up to that reputation and is delightfully refreshing to the palate.

I have spent about £40.

Will it be worth it?

Every penny that you put toward quitting smoke is worth it. Good luck and hang in there you will beat it!

I almost never need to buy anything. Although I've spent quite a bit on crappy mods and attys etc, I now have all the wire I'll need, all the juice and cotton I'll need for the forseeable future. Maybe once every couple of months I might buy a new mod or new flavorings, but for the most part if you're wise with the money diy can be far cheaper.
