seems like gotvapes ran out of heads. Any other vendors selling heads for the splitfire

I seem to go thru one every week or so... am I supposed to clean and re-use the heads? They look all burnt and stuff after about a week or two.. I a newb, by the way :)
Hey Tim, I hadn't noticed you were a new forum member...Welcome ! :)

Yes, you can clean these heads and they will last you for a very long time. I have gotten several weeks out of each head I use. I either just run warm tap water over them or throw them in a small glass or bowl of water to let them soak a bit. What ever you prefer. Then let them dry and do what people call a 'dry burn' this is putting it back on your pv and clicking your power button to heat the coils up until you see them glow nicely. It will burn off any of the gunky stuff left there from the cleaning. It won't hurt your head, and you'll be good to go again until next cleaning. Do several short presses on the button, don't hold it for a long time and do this on a low setting (if you have a vv device) There are plenty of posts for how-to do a dry burn here in the forum. I don't always explain real well, I apologize for that. The point is, you can clean these and they will last a long time for you. :) You mentioned Gotvapes in your post. Their forum has a lengthy thread on the Splitfires you can read if you haven't already. Quite a few people love these things.

Again, Welcome to the forum :D

I thought dry burns were a no no??? I have been cleaning my nova heads but even after one use with some flavors with butterscotch or caramel in them, they get a little brown looking. Would a dry burn help with that?? I have had the split fire in my cart 3 different times and took it out because I wasn't sure about it. Good to see some like it so I can order it with a little more confidence!

Vapes like a freight train. Blows through juice quickly, of course. I did burn out my original head in about a week but that might be a fluke given what I'm seeing here. Ordered more heads from Discount Vapers. Still, given the awesome vape, I'd be ok with one a week.

Threads weren't very good, though. My only structural complaint. No leaks. Easy to fill.

Dry burns are okay to clean them on SILICA wicks, it won't ruin the wicking material, ( dry burning you're only getting the gunky stuff off the wires with it, when you refill the tank you're going to re-wet the wicking again before you vape it)......but.....DON'T ever dry burn COTTON wicks however cuz it will burn the cotton material.

SplitFire's come with Silica wicks....
