I'm primarily a tank user, prior to the splitfire my favorite was the vivi nova. I've tried all manner of DCTs, ego-t, the SRT, the Phoenix Bully, pretty much any tank that gotvapes carries, I've tried it. So far, the SplitFire is my new favorite. I initially had an issue with threading it onto my Provari, but I ordered a 2nd one (I hate returning things), and it's pretty awesome. The first one threaded unevenly and shorted out constantly, then wouldn't screw down tight at all and stopped working altogether. I like the base on these a lot, I think the Vision or the Vivi Nova used to have the same style base where the holes are not on the threading post, which allows me to screw it all the way down onto the Provari without restricting air flow. I am using a tip someone gave me in another thread, because I like a hard drawer, I have a tooth pick stuffed into one of the holes. The plastic/polycarbonate seems pretty strong since I drop the damn thing on an almost daily basis.

I too love the SplitFires. A while back I posted pics of some of them having extremely shabby threads on the 510 connection. On the problem ones putting on a 510 extender ususally takes care of it. Sometimes they only grab on the last thread or so. I hope that info got passed to the factory and they improve the subsequent batches.
As for the toothpick, may have been one of my posts. I plugged one hole on all of my Splitfires and my T3's as well. I much prefer that draw but everyone may not.
On a few of my SplitFires I also draped another wick over the coil and just tuck the loose ends under the existing wicks coming up from the tank. Seems to improve it a bit more.

Been using Splitfires since they were released, the coils give me a good 2 weeks of tank-a-day vaping before they start tasting noticeably bad. Still think the head replacement is a PITA but I've gotten used to it. Most consistent performer of the bunch, and I've used dual coil Smoktechs, Vivi Novas, and CE2's in the past. The cons of the product is the stem that connects to the head may need some fiddling to work on some tanks (I broke two, and have 3 in use right now). Out of these 5, 4 of them needed the stem to be adjusted to work properly on my SB.

Ive been flipping through GotVapes for awhile, but never bought anything... kept going with another vendor and getting v3 clearos and trying carto tanks blah blah.

after watching about 7 BadKolo videos, and doing extensive research... I just hit the confirm button on a huge order on the Splitfires - 3 of em, with extra tubes, wicks, cool drip tips n all. GV was not the cheapest, but after all the research, I felt the most comfortable with your quality of product & reviews. So while the bottom line $ was not the cheapest, I'm hoping you guys are the best overall value in quality!!

Keep those videos coming Badkolo - it was definitely a convincing tool!

The higher ohms help for pwm pvs like vmax gripper and zmax

...And Provari's... Pretty much any device that runs higher voltages than the nominal battery voltage is going to be pwm. So, if you have a VV device that uses a single 3.7v cell and goes up to say 5 volts, it's almost certainly going to be pwm. In fact, IIRC, Provari states in their FAQ section that the Provari V1, V2, and Mini are PWM devices.

Yes they are. But they go a different route. They convert the PWM to a straight stable direct current. If it says 4.2 then you are getting a continuous 4.2 not a pulsing of higher voltages.

These things really are fantastic. Grabbed a purple one back around Thanksgiving [stuck a lime green drip tip on there: 'tis the Joker Tank!] and it's been reliably putting out vicious clouds with some practically 100% VG Pipe Sauce in there. Warm vapor and a killer throat hit. As far as wicking goes, I've run it down to just the juice clinging to the wicks and it still goes. The only negative I can see is that it's a bit too big and heavy to stick on an Ego.

So I was looking for an upgrade from the T2 Clearomizer cause I am getting really irritated with the burnt taste and the excessive leaking if I cut a piece of the rubber off to stop it from tasting burnt. I love it when it works as far as vapor and taste, but I am wasting so much juice with the constant leakage. :(

I was gonna go for the Vivi Nova and then stumbled across this one and it looks sooooooooo purdy!!!! So from browsing this thread I should be pretty impressed huh? I just placed an order of the purple :) . I always get so excited when I try something new. All I am hoping for is no leakage and no burnt taste! :D I don't ask for much!!! HA HA HA

Now if I could just find a purdy purple battery to go with it that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. lol.

IMO can't go wrong putting the splitfire on a Vision purple spinner..

I have used these for 3 months now. Never had a leak on any of the 4 I have. When you get yours and IF having any problems with it leaking or burning. Come back here and post what your experiencing and im sure someone will be able to help you fix the problem :)

I like the vivi novas also but really love these.
