If I'm not mistaken... You need to have the fuse turned over so it shows 10 instead of the way you have it.

Sent from my Galaxy S4 running Sacs Custom Rom.

the fuses aren't polarity sensitive.......you can have the flow of electrons going in either direction on the fuse......this i know from messing with them in cars

So after 3 months with the clay fuse mod in I have really gotten used to the fit and feel. I got my wife a REO for Christmas and I had forgotten how squishy the firing button with a spring could be. I have to admit I really like the solid feel of the fuse mod much better. I think my makeshift fuse holder is slightly off level so i have to push the button harder than a stock REO to get the best connection, but it was a surprise to feel the spring compress a little when I fired.

I ended up making another clay fuse holder for her's and it's working perfectly, she was immediately able to notice the increase in power on a .6ohm coil, and she now likes to vape around a .8ohm with the fuse mod.

From .4 to .2 V drop in 5 minutes. :toast:
Had stuff in parts bin.
No modification to Reo required.

Thanks!

Mundy, you wouldn't happen to remember what specific type/brand fuse connector you're using there in the picture, would you?

I just got done doing the fuse mod and I also did the Brass firing pin with a .012 feeler gauge.

Raw tumbled grand
Cyclone + AFC
1.29 ohm dual coil
Battery 4.14 volts fully charged.

voltage read at posts before mod was 3.66 yielding a .48 voltage drop.

After both mods reading 3.81 at the posts yielding a .33 voltage drop.

This is pretty good for a coils with that high an ohm reading.

Scared the crap out of myself! I test this mod by doing a hard short from the positive post to the side and it blew the fuse. So I thought I was all good.

Put it down got busy feeding the dogs and getting the mail, picked up the Reo about 45 minutes later and the body of the mod was very warm to the touch. Needless to say I freaked thinking I had a short and the battery was hot enough to feel through the Reo.

NOTE TO SELF:

Don't put the Reo down next to the exhaust vent for your lap top. will cause panic attacks.
