I heard back from Kingtu about my defective SQr clone. They agreed to send me another sample but wanted me to pay $24.50 for DHL shipping. I refused and gave them another lecture about customer service and made some threats. They finally relented and not only agreed to pay for shipping but sent me an email saying "GOOD NEWS FOR YOU" ....we will send you some products for thanks
Including:
2 pcs squape reloaded
our proprietary product 4 century mod (if you don't know him, serching it on alibaba or google, you will find how exciting it is!)
several cigars

My apologies again

Best regards

I don't need the Squapes or e-cigars but the mod sounds interesting. It appears to be a copy of the Svoemesto Semovar that goes for 200 euros, a dna 15 device that also gives additional info such as the number of puffs and duration of your puffs. Can't believe my good fortune to get all these freebies. If Kingtu comes through, I'll send any of these freebies for just the postage costs to roxy or Marc. They've gone through hell with this SQr clone and deserve a break!

I guess I must have been in a lucky batch or something. I haven't run into a single major issue with my Kingtu clone. I finally put a build on it last night and tested it, works just fine. Resistance is stable right where it should be with this build and doesn't jump around, not even on my mod with a spring-loaded 510 pin. I didn't have to fiddle around with anything to get it working. I just opened it and cleaned everything with soap, swapped in the W Deck (which actually came out fairly easy, just needed a towel for grip), checked to make sure everything was tightened down, and threw a quick build on. Knock on wood, hopefully it stays working like this ;)

I guess its easy for me to say this since I don't have a clone from hell, but I'm actually very impressed with the build quality on this clone. And I'm even more impressed with the tank itself, incredibly easy to work with and wick, and gives outstanding flavor. I actually want the real deal even more so now, whenever I can find one for a trade. I'm still not entirely comfortable with the coating on the deck and chimney with these clones.

Yeah, contacted SlowTech last night as well, asking for a return and refund on my black box clone as well - no matter what I do, it'll short out, either due to the positive screw, or the deck screws.
And to top that off, last night the e-liquid just started pouring from the AFC as well, even when I mashed so much cotton in the coil, that I could barely take one hit without it drying out.
Got my original today though, and holy heck is this thing nice - there really IS a difference that justifies the pricetag :D

I bet you did the same thing I did on mine: dang post screws, it finally happened. I scratched the top lip of my chimney while I was refilling. :grr:

I'm trying to get another chimney from FT, telling them that the supplied screws had heads that were too big, but I'm not very hopeful. I grinded down and slotted the screws and it's working again, but not liking the scratch on the chimney, exposing raw aluminum. What else can I do with that? PlastiDip? ProtectaClear? Out of desperation, I dabbed a little nail polish over the scratch and it tasted awful!

If anybody has one of these in a drawer and their chimney isn't scratched, you wanna sell it to me cheap? Mine is the Ivogo.
I guess one other option is the Nano kit.

I am thinking about getting a EHPRO Squape or some other clone like Winsmoke or Tobeco.

Or would I be better off just waiting till thy get the Reload working properly = working out of the box.??

Frankly, I don't see them going there with the clones. If I had the cash, I'd buy the trouble-free real thing, because the vape is awesome once you get it working.

Don't have a side by side pic right here and now, but you can have a look at my pics in the Squape Reloaded thread and see for yourself: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ial-squape-r-eloaded-thread.html#post14559909 :)
I can make a side by side if you need it too, just can't be bothered if you can use one of the other pics ;)
Nope, that one will work. A picture of the clone deck next to it would clearly show that the OG's screws have much smaller heads. Thanks! :thumb:

No probs. I just wrote in my ticket that it's either shorting out, due to the crappy positive screw or the deck screws, plus it started leaking like crazy, so hoping they'll take it back.
It's only $25 or so, but hey, it all adds up right. And no way am I selling it to somebody else, I do have just a bit of a conscience :D

Cindy, if I can get the real deal (and it will make me broke), I will send you my whole clone. My W deck has some scratches now. Chimney is good, and of course you could use my insulator and new, non coated pin and small post screws. I may not be able to get the authentic, but I'm going to try.

I have never regretted a vape purchase until I purchased the SquapeR Clone from gvapers. On top of that, I have tried to post two very clear and specific reviews rating it at one and they refuse to post them. What a disreputable lot they are.

If I could give it and the company zero stars I would.

1) Tank advertised as glass is plastic
2) Deck design is such that you cannot stop it wiggling no matter what because not both posts screw into the base and the center pin is too short to hold it together and still be long enough to make contact with your 510.
3) orings were not installed and were a complete and 1000% (yes ten times any total anywhere in the Universe) PITA.

I will never again buy a clone manufactured by that company. Nor will I do any business with gvapers. They have done nothing to make it right and the refusal to post my review is unscrupulous in my opinion.

Forty dollars down the drain and a lesson learned the hard way.

I'm sure the OG SqR is trouble-free and a pleasure to use, but buying a clone is definitely like taking up a new hobby, like buying an MG. Works great when you get it to work, but you spend most of your time futzing with it. Takes dedication.

I get you but no amount of futzing makes a silk purse out of a sow's ear...this is clone is not worth anyone's aggravation. imo.

Well, if I hadn't gone through the trouble, I never would have learned that I really like the vape.

I also think I learned more about how attys work than I ever would have otherwise. But, it sure has been aggravating :?:

None of my other clones have been any trouble at all. I'm all about saving money so I wish these clones had been decent.

I am very dissappointed I finally fixed the pos pin only to have my coils expand and contract with heat cycles then short on the base. That's where I am now. I'm recoiling like once a day :(

I am a fogger and orchid fan personally...an original fogger costs about 30 bucks...and the latest ones have drilled posts so they are very easy to build. The orchid clones are nice too. I think I will look into the erlprinz as well. I wanted a squape r but 170.00 is steep for a piece of stainless steel and some screws.

You can tell when a mfr cares to get it right. I think these guys cared to cash in but not to even try to provide a quality product. I am more mad a gvapers for skewing reviews...dirty...dirty

I recoiled three times yesterday, only to realize that the chimney was scratched. That's where my shorts were coming from. But I keep at it, because I love the vape I get out of this thing when it's working. After I get a new chimney, I think I'll be just about there, after practically having built the whole thing myself.
