Well, electricity doesn't flow, current does. And current doesn't care about 90 degree turns. Look at circuit boards that have foil traces that abruptly turn 90 degrees and function perfectly. In this case I think it's more a question of the difference in mechanical efficiency, heat transfer etc...between a round and square coil...a "squoil"? Might be worth a try to find out, at least a google search - I can't believe the NOBODY has tried it.

Better than any 1.9 I ever made I tested it with some gross juice I got for free so I cant comment on flavor but big clouds I'm gonna try another one in a lil bit
You will get hotspots on all the corners. These are also most likely to be the places with least wicking contact. Sounds undesirable, but that's cool if it's working for you and probably looks pretty nice.

Sideview of the first one. I'll post more of the second one when I do it

I don't think the idea is really to make a square coil.
This is it here
Just wanted to play around.. I have a 1/4" rod that I ground down to about 1/8"

1/4" ceramic rod, and it's easier to grind it down to a square 1/8" crosssection instead of trying to make it circular.
