No..not pets. They were orphaned at a very young age and we raised them and fed them for 6 months and released them in the Spring. They now live in and around the neighborhood. We still see one of them fairly regularly in our front yard.
Cool pics Wader, will the one in your yard still interact with you? Or has the natural fear of humans kicked in?
She won't get close enough to touch anymore. She'd still come up within a few feet though.

Ooh Wader, they are soooo cute!!! We don't get squirrels in Oz - or at least not in Tasmania. They look so adorable, almost as cute as a cat. But not quite.

These were at my home. It was quite the fun place with 3 squirrels and 3 cats. 8^)
Oh my, that sounds like it could be a contender for AFV. You should capture them in a movie and send it in. Course, I'll expect vaping supplies for life as compensation, should you win ;-)
Awwwww....so CUTE! I love squirrels. I have quite a few peanut junkies in my backyard. A couple of them will eat the peanuts out of my hand. We had three babies fall out of the tree last summer. Kept them and fed them kitten formula a few days then took them to a wildlife rehabilitation place. I always wonder if they turned out all right.
