How easy is it to squonk and drive? Also how much better is squonking versus pre-manned coils?
Squonking and driving is a piece of cake. Once you get a feel for it, which won’t take long, you will not need to look at it and one hand operation makes it a simple task. Squonking with a good rda setup, with the coil that works well with your vape style, the flavor and convenience is tough to match. Some different ways to vape could possibly match a proper Squonk setup but not surpass it.

Thanks madstabber. I’m having trouble finding a great coil and tank combo and might switch to squonking soon if I can’t find a better setup.

I squonk and drive all the time. I find it second nature, I do it without thinking anymore.

I have not used pre-built coil tanks for a long time now. When I switched from them to rebuildables, I found it was worlds better. From my understanding, modern pre-built coil tanks are much better now than they were when I was using them, but I still doubt they are going to be better than a properly built rebuilable. Plus you save a lot of cash when you build your own coils over buying pre-built coil heads.

I know it probably depends on the coil, cotton, juice, etc... But ballpark about how many hits do you get out of a couple of pumps from the squonk?

The only problem I have with squonking and driving is it makes drinking a beer or texting rather difficult.
One hand for the squonk, one hand for the phone, steer with the knees, and beer in a proper beer dispensing hat --- good to go ...

Squonking and driving works pretty well. Much better than dripping and driving.
Dripping and driving does not work particularly well.
It works As long as your squonk bottle has juice anyway. If your bottle runs out you’re basically SOL till you can stop though. Refilling a squonk bottle by any method is a two hands and visual attention activity. On “one day” project list is a mod that uses a 12 volt car adaptor and takes a 30/60ml unicorn bottle as a squonk resovoir for Long hauls. Most squonk bottles are in the 8-10ml range.

My current fav squonk is a profile which has a huge wick, but only works well when the wick is dead full so I’d call it less than average. Perhaps 3-6 hits before it needs a squeeze.

It really is heavily build dependant. On my super small atomizers with very little wicking space and practically no juice well, around 6 hits. On my RDAs that can fit a decent amount of wicking and has a juice well, 10-12 hits before it starts running dry. This is just an educated estimate, and in no way a definitive answer.

Hi James,
You can use drop in coils with some BF atomizers.
The number of pulls is related to power level, wick amount, and juice well size.
Using a Divo, about 4-6. With a Profile, 15-20 or more.

Driving and squonking is a perfect combination, IMO.
I squonk with my left hand and shift with my right, left knee steers as needed.

Cheers
I

Never a problem, even when I was brand new to squonking a bit more than five years ago.

Personally, I give it a squeeze for every hit. A properly designed squonking setup will drain all the excess juice back to the bottle, so there's no harm is squonking too often, and doing this provides a very consistent vape, with no threat of dry hits.

Squonking is going to be on the safe side of things to do while your driving but I have no idea what will happen when a state trooper mistakes it for a mobile phone
