Hey all,

I seem to have to push inordinately hard to get the juice to my atty. I wonder why? Could it be my all vg juice?
Could I have an air leak somewhere in the system? ( doubtful, no leakage inside)
Am I just a pathetic weakling who needs Arnold to pump me up? Lol
Seriously though, any advice is appreciated.
My latest theory is not enough internal pressure ( maybe a slightly unseated O ring) or needing to put that itty bitty piece of tubing that came with my reo into the tube?

Thanks,
Tim

Usually when I have this problem it's because I either have an air leak (which I don't think would necessarily leak juice, unless the leak spot became submerged), or because the feed tube is making a slight contact with the bottom of the bottle. Sometimes that sob will be touching not so much to where it's impossible to squonk, but just enough to make it abnormally difficult to get a good one.

Thank you all! It's not touching the bottom, but I'll try the v thing later tonight. Now is that in the middle of the tube, so the ends are like flaps? Or do you mean like you would cut fresh cut roses on a slant for better surface area?

The bottom should be cut to look like a V. I use a angle on mine also and that works on some. The V will inhibit the suction on the sides and is better overall.

Hmm... Looks like I must have had an air bubble somewhere in the hose... Took the bottle off sucked through the atty, put the bottle back on, flipped upside down so the hose was out of the liquid and I got a squooshk sound. Flipped and squonked and flooded the atty cause I pushed too hard... Lol. Gonna do the v mod on the tube when I get home but that definitely seems to have been the issue... Will have to remember that for future reference

Sometimes the cap just needs adjusting too. I always try that first.

First time I went to squonk my first Reo I had to squeeze the crap out of it to get it to feed. I was seriously hoping this was not what sqonking was supposed to be like. After a little head scratching, I looked at the o-ring and could see that it wasn't uniform in there. It was kinda bunched up in one area. I loosened the cap and then just snugged it back up while watching the o-ring. When I did a test squonk, I made a helluva mess. Super easy when you have a good seal...
Glad you got it sorted.
