so, i got some 7x7 yesterday to compare with my 7x19. not a glaring difference, i cant even tell actually. both are working better than mesh alone IMO, but i still need to tilt from time to time, and the cable wicks immediately when tilted without pouring out juice, like in my hollow wick set ups. so practically speaking (im still chasing the vertical wicking phenomenon i've been seeing on vids) i tend to always slightly "tilt," even with cartos, so it doesn't affect me. with cable i am able to bring down the tilt angle a bit and still have it perform well. i would say try it out, much less hassle, more durable (one wick will last as long as you want), looks cooler in the tank, i'd say flavor is a bit better as well. the negative is that it is a heatsink, especially with larger diameters ( i have a 1/8in cable in my rsst and boy do i need to turn up the voltage on that one (or drop the resistance to use on a mech, whichever)). i think it's just the next step for me, not a true game changer or anything revolutionary, at least in my limited experimenting with it. hope that helps!
