SS cable wicks.. Next big thing after SS mesh

Just picked up 2.0/2.5/3.0mm ropes from Jalan Ipoh. 7x7 strand arrangement and it wicks like a champ. Have to vape it vertical. Tilt it like a normal gennie and it floods!

They're 304 grade. 316 needs a special order. Only difference between the two is that 316 contains molybdenum.

It is magnetic but not galvanised, and I tore some apart and saw no foreign strands. Apparently, the litmus test is to torch it until bright red and see if it produces any white smoke.

and also is there any minimum length to buy? i dont want to bring back lots of ss cable just because i want ~2meters of each size.

pbusardo reviewed wicking material (300/400/500/635 ss mesh, ss cable, ceramic + mystery wick) and it seems that ceramic and the 500 is the best..but then its not just the wicking, it the ease of set up and the longevity comes into play also right. just sharing

Something has been puzzling me lately. A few days ago I saw a video on the AGA-T2. In it they were basically wrapping uninsulated wire on a conductive coil form. What is it that I am missing? I do not see how that could work.

I'm using ss cable now. Not bad. Wicks really really well! But can be a pain to get the right use though.

I mean get the right size. Like for my juggernaut, I had to split the ss cable into 3 smaller strands and twist them together so it'd fit!
