So I guess that'll be the end of all the mechanical mod? Can't see how you could achieve VV without electronics or have I missed something?

not at all Cil. Mechanical mods will stay the best choice for everyone that wants something that will never betray him. But the nice thing with GG VV module will be that its removeable, so if it fails you can still vape in mechanical mode!

Was going to post that today it was nice that I was able to find spare batteries so easily, just walk into a store and had a choice of them (nothing I really liked, but some 1400mah generic 18500 protected that should work fine as backups).... but I just went to replace my current battery and... it was coated in juice.

Very odd since even when I was rinsing out all the parts, the collector tank had no issues at all, water wouldn't leak out of it. Was nice that everything was still working fine, and I had no idea it had leaked like that (meaning, I never got juice all of myself like I would with other mods).

Now to figure out how and why the iAtty leaked this time.

Just got my first GGTS, arrived just a few minutes ago. #1424 TMF By Imeo!

Using it atm with my iAtty (only thing I have on me) without the collector tank since I forgot to order the rethreader needed, hopefully that will be in tomorrow since I ordered it 1 day after I ordered the GGTS.

Valsacar,
Your gonna love your GGTS, its a great device, and you will soon come to wonder how you made it this far without having one, lol. Anyways, congrats, and let us know if you have any issues, always someone around willing to help!

if you found leakage on your battery means that the liquid came inside CT and then to your battery because you miss the 2 small o-rings around the center pin Valsa?

It came assembled by Bruce so... I hope it has everything.

Right now having another issue, iAtty doesn't want to work half time. Push button, nothing. I think it's something with the 901 connector, as it seemed to work fine if I took off the collector tank and just used it straight.

Here is a pic of the o-rings. (Taken from users guide)

Are you using a 901 to 510 adapter with rethreader? If so after you put the adapter and rethreader push the center pin up to contact the adapter. Does the pin go all the way in or does it stick out a little? If it goes all the way in you may have to tighten the nut under the pin because your pin isn't making contact to the adapter. On my TMF version the pin isn't long enough to make contact with this method should be long enough on the new SS versions but if that nut is backed out to far the pin might not make contact.

I am using that method, was working fine all week, just started getting odd after I cleaned up the little juice mess this morning. Looks like it's fine now, I took the rethreader and adapter out, cleaned them again and made sure everything was screwed in tight. No issues now, so was probably either a little loose or dirty and not getting a consistent connection.

P.S. Using the iAtty this way, so the air flow works, is great. Really tightens up the draw nicely.

Would take 1-2 weeks to get to me (military mail is SLOW), if they are missing I'll just go buy some, PX has a set of like 200 different sized o-rings, so I'm sure I can get the right ones. Everything is working right now, so I'll take it apart after work (I also have the collector tank from my other GGTS that isn't being used since it has the UFS on it).

I haven't taken apart my main one, but I did take apart the collector tank from my second one (since I have the UFS on that one I had a spare to play with)... didn't look like the picture though. Pin just comes right out (tried that on the one I'm using and it didn't come out easily), the nut looking piece seems to be permanently attacked to the plastic threads, I couldn't take it apart (where the 2 o-rings should be). No o-ring on top of the plastic part, but there was a very tiny o-ring between the base of the pin and the nut looking part (labeled 1 in the picture, center post nut).

tats easy valsa. Take off the o-ring under the moving pin

Which one?

It's been working fine all day since I took it apart and cleaned the rethreader and adapter. I'm thinking either it got dirty from the juice leak and didn't have a good connection or maybe was just loose. After I did that it's been working great again.

Now my big worry (with the one I use with the iAtty) is that I'm out of NR wire... got a lead on somewhere that I could get it locally, so I'll check that tomorrow. Really odd, went to Yongsan (one of the largest electronics markets in the world) and no one sold bare wire... could find any type of cable you want, but no one had bare wire. Hopefully I'll fare better tomorrow, looking for 30-31ga nickle or silver (silver preferred), delivery time from US to here is 1-2 weeks, don't think I have that much time.

The nut under the connector bottom is exactly 10mm. If you have any metric sockets, a 10mm can be used by hand, not with a driver to remove and then re-tighten it. Working with the power button, the ones on the SS GGTS and I think the 2011 series also uses the same 10mm size.

Useful for stabilizing either part to prevent scratching or such as sometimes happens when pliars are used. ;)
