Just curious but why 29g?
I am finding 30 ga to be perfect at around 0.9 ohms in TC,great ramp up and down and great battery life.28 GA uses more battery and is slower ramp up and down, still produces a little vapor after i finish vaping. The trouble with 30 ga is it can distort the coil when rewicking a little. I cured the same problem with Kanthal A1 with 29 ga so thought i would try it with SS316L. I also found the wire for $18.61 shipped from England for 150 metres,so around 495 feet. Not bad really.

I ordered a bunch of wire from I'm assuming the wire place in the UK (crazywire) 29 gauge both kanthal and SS316L and some over 40 gauge for clapton wrapping, 8 spools total. I spent 13.45 pounds and got free shipping to Canada. I dunno how the cost to ship works but I didn't ask cause I didn't think I was suppose to get free shipping only spending 13 pounds but I did.
I found using 28/34 to get a higher 1.4ohm clapton required 5 wraps 3.5mmID that took up the entire space, hindering airflow in my STM and had to be manipulated to fit nicely. Using 30/34 clapton 2.5mmID coil to target 1.4ohm, much better vape with more air being able to pass the coil and easier on the batts with very little ramp up time. The 30gauge weakens quickly so only get a couple rewicks before being tossed from distorting trying to feed the rayon through. I'm hoping the 29 gauge will be a happy medium between the 28 and 30 for longevity and size of coil required for my preferred higher ohm vaping. Still waiting for the wire to be delivered cause the Christmas rush definitely increases the waiting time for packages.

PLUS 1 on Crazywire company, excellent wire, great prices.... Ebay also has a lot of companies that offere 29 gauge SS wire.

I bought a bunch of silica from them eons ago back in my protank precotton/hemp days and was happy with their product. The Temco site is suckingly slow and backordered much of their SS wires. Ebay for me again is sucks shipping costs or a winter drive to the border that I don't want to do. Lightening vapes was my last ebay wire order back when the grass was still green and went for a drive of some 250' spools of 34 gauge SS and kanthal. I'm so hooked on claptons that a 29k/46SS should put me into another level of vape nirvana along with giving me a bit more rewicking life out of a build that the 30gauge core just doesn't do.

Give zivipf a try. Not local unless you're German, but good prices, excellent wire, fast shipping.
Temco, direct from Temco is the only other vendor I've had good luck with.
All others, including the ones mentioned in this thread, have sent wire that is not the material labeled.

Thank you for the replies. I got some from pure atomist. Good wire except bizarrely the resistance is way off acording to steam engine.
Looking at the Zivipf website, they offer 2 sizes of 29 AWG wire...one is .28mm, the other is .30mm...maybe the size difference could account for the Steam Engine discrepancy?

Sure looks like it. I'd be curious why there are two size of that gauge.
Maybe I'll drop them an email.

resistance: 12.2 Ohm/m ..... 3.71 Ohm/ft
wire diameter: 0.28mm / 0.011" / AWG 29
resistance: 10.6 Ohm/m ..... 3.32 Ohm/ft
wire diameter: 0.30mm / 0.012" / AWG 29

No if i put either of those wire diameters into steam engine it still does not come out anywhere near what resistance with the coil id and number of wraps i am getting.
