I think I know were this is coming from. Another supplier on this board had a video lately talking about how he uses only 316 surgical stainless steel because other stainless is unsafe. He implies that other stainless contains lead and should not be used.
I found this to be an odd statement because we cook out of stainless steel pots every day that are not 316. We eat with forks and spoons every day that are not 316. So I started to do some research.
303 does not contain lead. 303 is food safe. Furthermore stainless steel is non reactive meaning it doesn't break down and release any toxins.

. Brass is reactive and oxidizes potentially releasing all kind of nasty stuff that you don't want to inhale.
