Since there is no link I’m having to guess here. You’re talking about an rda MADE of stab wood? I personally think it would get rather too hot to be safe. Stab wood is basically wool filled polyester resin. Polyester resin melts, and give off really unpleasant chemicals when it does.

Now while I have seen many mods made of stab wood I have never seen an atty made from it. As a mod material stab wood is excellent. It’s tougher than resin because of the wood fiber support which acts a bit like the rebar in concrete. There are many resin fillers that have various uses. JB weld, for example is steel filled resin. Formica is paper filled resin (and imho would work just as well as wood)

FWIW.... a possible health issue with stabwood vape gear... e-liquid can be contaminated by it if it is not bullet proof sealed, can even cause black mold to form within the wood. Wood DT's especially, even those with a metal interior have had this problem. But spilled joose on a wood mod not properly sealed can also lead to it. Black mold is not sot something to be putting in your mouth or breathing.

A before and after picture of one I had issues with many years ago from a very well respected custom DT maker who made many excellent custom tips for me. We discussed it (I know about woods and their ins and outs). I don't know if it alone had something to do with him dropping wood tips from his line or not, but he did. Maybe more cropped up, or simply because he is certainly a stand up man.

Good points, but with this particular atty, the wood is only wrapped around the metal so shouldn't get direct contact with the fluid aside from a spill.

"Wood DT's especially, even those with a metal interior have had this problem."

This drip tip's wood was around a solid SS DT base/tube. Atty or DT matters not if the glue seal between them fails to keep the liquid out.
