Sitting down, facing forward.
That's great, grimwald! You and I have similar ages and histories. Volt got me off of tobacco and I am looking at two months without a cigarette with no real desire, other than habit, bothering me. I hope your success continues and you started with, arguably, the best so-called "mini" available! Keep on vaping!

Hi Grimwald,

Our poor big dog got stepped on several times since it has been really hot out and the bedrooms have been really dark in the daytime. We had to train ourselves to turn the light on if we went in the room to get something.

Now he leaps up if he hears us coming down the hall way.

You are doing great. Keep up the good work on not smoking.

Congratulations Grimwald! I understand your disbelief perfectly. It was 42 years of smoking for me as well - 1 1/2 to 2 packs a day. The day that I got my kit in the mail was the last day that I smoked. It wasn't a Volt kit because they weren't around then. Just in case you may be worrying that the novelty might wear off, let me just say this: The day that I got my kit and put down the analogs forever will be three years ago on Aug. 20, 2012. Just sayin'.

I share in the disbelief. Vape when you can... smoke if you need to. Don't beat yourself up over smoking if you do. I vaped for about 4 months, went back to cigs (long story of family emergencies, no X2 batteries, not enough juice cartos etc...). I came back to vaping this time at the beginning of April and didn't force myself off the cigs. I went from 3-4 a day to 1-2 a day, to 1-2 a week.... and then I went 2 weeks, smoked one and hated it. That was early June. July 22nd at a party with the whole crew I started smoking with 21 years ago, I decided to have one. 4 puffs later, I actually puked. Epic moment to realize I no longer want one at all.

Keep vaping... ask questions.... find a few flavors you like. Your tastebuds will go dead if you're on the same flavor all the time. Try stuff you wouldn't ordinarily think of. I'm not a big fruit eater, but I love grape, watermelon, peach tea etc. to vape.

Thanks for the advice all. Yeah, I'm going to need different flavors cause even after 4 days now I realize the need for variety...should have a variety pack in the mail tomorrow and then I'll try some of the more "exotic" flavors. Gawd did I want a cig with my morning coffee today (and apple spice cake is also a trigger apparently)...but I vaped my way thru it.

Welcome Grimwald & welcome to a different you. Sometimes i still pinch myself thinking how did that happen. How did i undo 20years of smoking with an electronic battery? Its a wonderful feeling and an amazing device and you are going to feel sooooo much better in the days to come. Congrats on finding the volt and switching over !
