I have been rebuilding my stardust and its great because its so easy. Problem is my rebuilds dont seem to hit as well as a new replaceable head. And the new replaceable head I got (1.8 ohms) had like 9-10 wraps of wire around it. When I rebuild my own I make about 5 coils, any more and it seems like the resistance is too high. I have used 32 g wire and a thinner (36g?) wire and its the same on both.

Im just curious to know why this is. It appears that the wire diameters are the same comparing my 32 g wire to the stock wire. Has anyone else made this observation? Or is it just me?

I dont have a multimeter, I know I have to get one.
So I just kind of go by trial and error. It seems that the ideal wrap for me includes 3- 4 strands of silica wick ( extremely thin) and 4-5 coils w/ 32 g wire. Anymore and no vapor, any less no vapor and bad flavor.

The other thing I have noticed is on the new heads I buy, the wick doesnt turn dark right away. When I rebuild one the wick coming out of the middle base turns dark. maybe its just the size and quality of the wick Im using.
