1 - Are the plain PG and VG, and unflavored nic juices from MyFreedomSmokes legit?

2 - What is the best way to extract your own flavors? (say, from tobacco, herbs like mint etc, fruits...)

3 - Tips starting out for someone who just wants perfect, complex, full-bodied tobacco flavors that none of these venders seem able or willing to provide?
:D

I can't speak for the supplier but Plain PG/VG would probably be more expensive to cut with something nasty so it's probably cheaper to just sell the real deal :D

Extracting your own flavours would probably require some serious equipment unless you're looking at breaking down tobacco leaves for a "pure" extract which would probably be a fair task but can be done with PG VG and a bit of isopropyl alcohol if i remember rightly :) could be worth a look in to

If you're looking at complex tobacco ones i'd recommend looking into leaf extraction which is what i mentioned above, some companies do produce a range of tobacco flavours using this method but because it's from an actual tobacco leaf it contains traces of the nitrosamines (harmful stuff) that real tobacco contains but it's great for flavour :) Don't have any resources to hand but have a quick google you're bound to turn up something

For alcohol extraction I think I'd want pure grain alcohol (PGA)... of course I have no idea how to lay hands on it (is illegal in my state). Maybe a quick drive to Portland...

All I know about the PG/VG is that USP grade, which is what MyFreedomSmokes sells, may or may not be OK, depending on... whether it's OK or not. LOL Hopefully someone with experience with their products can fill me in.

Thx for the thoughts

Yes, they are "legit".

Might want to read through the sub http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/liquid-extraction-tobacco/ Unless you have the equipment and knowledge to remove the sugars from fruits, I would suggest avoiding extractions from them since most of a fruit's extraction will be sugar and oil with the flavoring clinging to those.

Spend more time developing your recipe than they did. My first great tobacco vape took me 5 months of making bad crap before I figured it out. I've spoken with Tony at Indigo and he spends an average of 3 months developing each of his tobaccos. Since I like some of his, but like mine more, it must be the amount of time spent making crap is the key factor...?

Any tips you wanna share?
