My possible plans, mostly to get through security, is to make labels for it. "Nicotine Inhaler" and "THIS IS NOT A CHILDPROOF DEVICE" type stuff. I'll look up the effects of nicotine and put smaller labels in a "causes drowsiness" type warning thing on it too. Though I'd need a solid white setup...ah, more hardware to buy. :D

I, and many others have gone through security quite easily. I had a 5ml bottle and filled cartos that I put in my zip lock and I put my kgo in the tray with my phones and wallet. Not even a question, the TSA is aware of our PVs.

Mk2 screwdriver is good, IMHO. That is all I tried so far with just one month of vaping experience. But I have two points to note. 1) I am happy with SD; I quit smoking completely and immediately after 30 years 1 PAD, thus SD just works. 2) It is good as a stealth machine, I can see most of time people do not realize that I vape at all (so far I am the only vaping guy around here).

Cool, thanks. Just being paranoid. Just need to hold off on getting that 3oz tank I guess. :D

Another vote for the Gripper. I have a couple 650mah ego's also. The large carto in the gripper makes it my shirt pocket vaper.

I've been mostly using the 1.7ohm XL cartos. No complaints. I've been wondering about the XXXL horizontal coil, 2ohm cartos. (Man, these are super long, 69mm.) Are they good?

Another Gripper user. I have two and took a chance with one of them to increase the capacity. The jumbo Resurrector cartos from Crystal Clear Vaping hold almost 2.5 ml (1.7 ohm single coil) but are pretty long.

I drilled out the "well" to 27/64" and replaced the Gripper extension with a shorty on the jumbo Resurrector.

I've never used the xxxl's in mine. I also use the 49-50mm xl's 1.7ohm. They work fine for me and hold a good amount of juice. I like the tast of my all day juice in the gripper more than in my ego twist with a small carto tank.

Nice workaround for a fat carto. Seems using an extension defeats the stealth purpose of the Gripper, so I won't go with that.

Was wondering about horizontal coil cartos, not so much about the length as long as it's long enough to be used on the Gripper. Heard good things and bad things about them (horizontal coils); the good outnumber the bad. Might as well order a few and try them.

I have a Gripper here and I use Kanger cartos in it. I didn't get the extension, I use the long kanger in it (kanger XL). Holds a lot of juice and I don't get the normal carto "taste" from kangers. I think this one has been in the gripper now for 3 plus weeks and is still going strong.

It's about 3/4 of an inch above the top of the Gripper before a Ming goes on. Still fits in a pocket and is not all that obvious.

The kanger is a horizontal coil carto.

I own a Megalodon which is similar to the Mako. The Don is a solid PV and is still vaping well after 9 months. The only problems I've had is I've had to mod the battery pin connector because of a tight draw and take the firing button apart (be careful as there is a spring and a minute ball bearing which are easily lost) and cleaning it. Another issue is the firing pin sits too high- also had to mod it. Here's a review of both:

The advantage of the Don is I can take it apart and have a stealth PV about 2 1/2" long without the carto attached. Although happy with the Don I would not recommend it to others as 4? months ago the vendors admitted to the tight draw problem and stated they were working with the manufacturer to resolve the problem. As of this writing NO changes have been made to improve air flow. Considering I bought the Don based on "quality" in good faith, although happy with it, I cannot recommend it as a buy. Realize I do not own the Mako but the Don is almost identical.

Cheers.

Now that is cool. I think you should start another thread with some details and more pics to share the knowledge. Thinking I might want to try that!

If your open to options Pure smoker has a few Icons they are getting rid of for less than $50. I love my Icon and my Legacy Mini. The Mini is shorter than the Icon but wider and with an extension sleeve can use a kick or bigger battery and are usually in stock. I have wanted to try the Mako and the Don but they are always out of stock unfortunately. I do believe I am going to order a gripper to try now. Good luck with your search.

The kanger is a horizontal coil carto.

The ones I ordered don't say they're kangers. But I would have to assume they are because horizontal coil cartos are always associated with kangers and vise versa. And only kangers have 69mm long versions (w/ boge diameters). Like I said, I'm completely satisfied with XL 1.7ohm Smoktech cartos with my Gripper. These horizontal coils, 69mm lenght cartos made me curious.
