Wow, I guess in the past year I haven't really thought about stealth vaping :/ The only small PV I ever owned was my first, the cigarette style.

Maybe I'll give it a shot, now that I'm seeing a lot of nice ways to vape that are small. I would like to have something really pocketable.... But I love battery life so much :(

yes to me that's the appeal of the newer 'mass market' mods and 'box' (true?) mods. the standard batteries are easy to charge in queue.

i've given up on cell phone batteries, except that the iphone wrap mod must be done. even if i have to take out my EE315 textbook from twelve years ago and do it myself. the RC batteries are more promising. flat form factor will make for some exciting new stuff.

Agreed about batteries. The Darwin uses a flat battery and has battery life that puts the usual suspects to shame.

I am amazed. It is not that you can do it - that is amazing by itself... It is that you thought of it and made it come true.

I know what I am talking about. I do advanced algorithms and I get asked all the time - how did you do that, but this is so cool. It makes me want to take it up as a hobby. I need an escape some times from thinking logically and numbers (currently I fish and camp), but how much do you have to understand about electronics to be able to make some of these things???

Depends on the mod, they're as simple as a battery/switch/connector all the way up to variable voltage metered mods with digital stepped trimmers and touch switches...but if you're dealing with advanced algorithms all day, you should pick yourself up a containment vessel, some pumps and some yellow cake uranium and go for the nuke mod...a little bit of up-front engineering involved (and maybe some issues with HLS) but with a power life of about 10 - 15 years, you're good to go

Ha Ha - think I will pass trying to get that advanced. I have thought about a simple wood mod. I have lots of carpenter tools (another hobby) and know I could make the box - just do not know about the "electronics side". I also have done metal lathing before (another hobby), but currently no or limited tools on that side. I read a four how to books just to install a light switch. Do not want to make something that might blow up in my face...

a 510 port on an iphone. even better.

Actually, I think this would be quite easily done... the charge port on both iPhones and Androids takes in and outputs 5v... so with a little bit of hacking some wires and an atty into a Micro USB plug or the apple connector, I think you could definitely get this to work. =) How WELL it would work is up for debate. :p

right but i think the issue is the current rating of the battery. i'm thinking the iphone battery wrap opens up more options. plus when it goes south i can disassemble. hopefully before frying the phone.

Vmod = Stealth
That's like saying an Abrams is a stealthy tank
Is there I joke I missed somewhere?

no joke intended. I dismissed vmod a while back, but 2.0 looks small enough to 'palm'. a little shorter than the minicube. maybe depends on your palm size. obviously i'm stretching the term 'stealth' here.
