I had an international flight right after I started vaping. I didn't SV on the plane (since my home airport was the one where someone got arrested for it), but airport bathrooms on the inside of the security were fair game.
When I left, I had only been vaping about two weeks and hadn't totally kicked the analogs. That was a hard flight. On the way back though (~two weeks later, not smoking the whole time I was away) wasn't too bad. The nicotine addiction is really manageable compared to a cigarette one.
But OT... I generally only vape where I can smoke. The exception is inside my house and in my office. But I only vape in my office if there's nobody else in there. I share it with 6 other grad students and it's more of a courtesy thing than an anti-smoking one - I don't eat hot food there unless I'm alone too. Nothing worse than trying to concentrate on a paper and someone's eating ginger beef or farting or something.
