so i think i have been in a better mood since i quit analogs on the 5th of this month, and i think it gets better as more of that crap is out of my system. definitely laughing more. just more "up" overall..

but of course we must be tested.

i dont know why the walmart near where i work sucks so bad, but it does. it just always has. anywho, i was in there friday night, payday, around 8:30 at night...so moderately crowded...i had been shopping for about 45 minutes and kinda forgot to discreetly vape on my way to the front to checkout...

long lines. irritation made me want to vape really really badly. right there. so i said eff it. i tucked my kr8 into my sleeve, put it up to my mouth, inhaled, and then kinda hunched over lookin at a magazine and blew out between my arms and towards my chest and the floor...held in for a few seconds to reduce amount of vapor coming out...

nobody said anything or even looked that i could tell. the ppl behind me noticed i think. they did not seem to care at all.

i have also been discreetly vaping all over campus inside of buildings around ppl, but thats another blog.

Awesome dude. Have no fear when vaping! I got over stealth vaping a while ago and just kinda make it as public as possible these days. I do stealth vape in class sometimes because I don't want to be disrupting the lecture by selfishly blowing plumes in my professor's faces hehe.

Sometimes if i'm at a restaurant i'll blow out into my drink slowly and take a sip to make it look like i have a hot cup of coffee haha. It works amazingly well as a stealth vaping technique even though most of the time i just use a clear glass of water.
People don't seem to put 2&2 together :p.

That's cool, I work at a walmart( it sucks) the way I learned about ecigs was a customer walked into the lawn and garden entrance I asked him to put it out the he explained. I told him to rest easy and apologized for jumping him about it. None of my co workers care about them and chances are the cashiers wouldn't care either. We have a few regulars who openly vape in our store at free will and are never confronted. I certainly won't now that I've started vaping ;)

Hey, I work at Walmart, in Ky too! Small world, huh? There are about 4 or 5 of us vaping now at our store. Several more people are asking questions. I've yet to see a customer vape though, that would be too cool.

Cup (typical fast food type with lid) full of ice makes a nice vapor filter. Crushed ice works great but any cup full of ice will work. Just exhale through the straw into the ice and the vapor chills quickly and condenses within the cup. It's like magic! You'll amaze your friends!

LOL

that sounds awesome, im gonna try it sumtime

The Walmart here in Georgetown, KY is test marketing Gamucci starter kits for $70 each (ouch!) so I figured that they sure couldn't mind if I vaped in their store. If they're selling them, how could they mind, right? I haven't had one complaint yet...only fascination and questions.

So how are the starter kits doing?

When I was at WM the other day I got confronted by a very flamboyant door greeter that had a big burley under cover loss prevention guy in a flannel shirt with him for back up, asking 'excuse me sir, but are you smoking?'. I sighed and took apart my 2 piece and explained about the batt and carto, ingredients, physical process etc, then handed him a card for our local kiosk. He looked at the card, looked at the LP and went walking off talking about how some of his coworkers needed this, lol.

Funny thread. I vape openly wherever I happen to be, and so far, I've only had an issue once: a salesclerk at Macy's got indignant and told me "I'm allergic to whatever it is you're blowing out" and glared at me.

...my friend had to kind of drag me away when I retorted "So.... You're allergic to soap, mouthwash, air fresheners, lotion, and perfume too? How the hell can you be working in Macy's if you're allergic to propylene glycol fumes? It's in half of the crap you..."

My friend tells me that it's sort of obvious that I've significantly reduced my nicotine intake, LOL.

I stealth vape or sometimes openly vape when I can. We must be respectful of the rights of owners of these establishments tho. As an owner, it is their call whether to allow it or not and we must honor that. If you were an owner, you would expect to have others respect your wishes as an owner.
When I go to our supermarket in the evenings to shop, I vape all the time I am there. But I am discreet. You know darn well that anyone who is not familiar with vaping will immediately assume we are smoking, and some can get down right indignant, so caution is advisable. We certainly do NOT want to do anything that will put a bad light on electronic cigarettes( I hate that term). We have enough to overcome without causing something we are doing(vaping) to cause a ruckus or bring to light an episode that could put us in an awkward light.
So, having said all that, I vape where ever I can. Just tonight, I was at a "QT" gas station and went inside to refill my cup. Waiting in line, with a smoker in front of me buying a carton, I took a couple vapes and as soon as the clerk saw me, I KNEW he was getting ready to jump all over me. I beat him to it....and said I am NOT smoking, this is NOT a cigarette. He seemed to immediately know what I was using and all was cool again. I tried to get the guy in front with his new carton to ask me a few questions, but he was in a hurry I guess. As he went out the door, I told him I quit smoking after 40 years by using this. He gave me the "thumb up" gesture and a smile as he went out the door. Who knows....but I planted the seed, and sometimes that is all we can do. But we must plant first before we can expect good results. (yea, I grew up on a farm)

Good luck to us all. :vapor:

I try to keep it low key. I assume that there is going to be someone who's going to make a scene and complain, which will lead to a an outright ban.

I see it the opposite way - hitting the vape surreptitiously makes it look as if you're guilty, particularly if it's a box mod. Even the most rude and self-involved person can lead to a teachable moment: after seeing my exchange with the .....y salesclerk, another customer asked for a detailed explanation of what I was doing and ended up walking away with a Cignot business card and a plan to mention e-cigs to his brother-in-law.

Maybe I'd have had a bit less attitude for the salesclerk if I hadn't just gotten a smile and a nod from the mall cops as I vaped openly - they probably figured that I'd bought it at the kiosk down the other end of the mall. Or if, you know, it hadn't been Macy's, where someone is spraying perfume in one direction or another at least once every few minutes.

Lmao this is the best story I've read in the thread. It would have been great if you could have kept going. =P

I proudly vape openly almost everywhere i go and have only been asked a couple of times not to. One of which was my local Walmart... Not by one of over zealous associates, but by my wife who happens to be a manager at that store. She doesnt want the associates to get any bright ideas about vaping while on the clock.
