When i type in the build i want into steam engine and it gives me my results i noticed it tells you the number of wraps, now iam building a dual coil so i would like to know if the coil wrap number goes for 1 coil or do i divide thta number in half nd thats the number for each coil? Thnks for the help im a new to this.

So if you are building a dual coil and have selected the dual coil option, the number of wraps shown in the result are for each coil. An example for you:

Dual coil, using 32 gauge, yielding 1 ohm at a 1.3 mm internal diameter.

Each coil will need 7 wraps and will yield 2 ohms of resistance.

Hope that's helpful!

The calculator always gives the instruction for building 1 coil. whether for a daul coil build or not. Provided you start by entering the correct parameters, it tell you haw to build each coil for a given OUTCOME, ie OHMs. Daul coil in parallel setup requires 2 coils wrapped at 2X the desired OHMs, because the TOTAL ohm rate is half of the rate of each coil.
