Yea and if I had more patients I wouldn't be steeping three 30ml bottles atop my bullet polisher in a cardboard box with foam padding inside it. But what the hey...my .223's inside will be super clean.

I have been considering doing this for several weeks now and you post was what I needed to get me to mix a small batch of TFA Black Honey tobacco ,place 5 ml in an 8ml glass bottle and drop it in my Harbor Freight 5 lbs. Viberator (Polisher) loaded with waltnut media.
Timer is set for 4hrs. and I will try and check temperature evey hour or so. Sixty degrees F. down in my shop when I started 45 min. ago.

Viberator type tumbler and UC are not the same deices however they do work in very similiar way. Not sure if post such as our's belong in this UC Steeping Thread or not but as dannyv45( I believe it was ) posted in the magnetic stirer thread using what one already has saves money.

You couldn't have picked a worst flavor to try to steep. In a UC TFA's black honey tobacco is the only flavor that I found will not steep. I had to steep this naturally for 5 weeks. So don't be surprised if your results are less then expected. I am curious if a vibrator will make a difference so keep us posted on this. As far as a UC for all other flavors I find it works very well.

danny I had read you post about Black Honey can not be rushed with a UC and your required 5 weeks on the shelf. To me at 10% it is good when mixed or next day but yes it gets better with age. The batch I am vaping now is just over 7 weeks old and yes I know about seed steeping.

With juices which go thru a color change during steeping does the UC also effect this? Four hours in the Viberator and BH is still clear . Will check daily to see if the vibed bottle darkens faster than the non vibed, 5 ml of each setting in the closet.

When I put the juices I make (555, Cowboy, Desert Ship, and DK Tobacco) into the UC they're all clear or to be more precise clear-ish. After 2-3 hours in the UC they turn the appropriate "mature" color.

I suggest to use 1 dram Glass vials.
Buy on eBay for cheapest price and super fast delivery.
I found that using plastic bottles takes way more time to UC.
Also you can easily clean glass...not so if plastic.
Glass is the key for really fast steeping.
Cheers

Thanks for that. The plastic bottles seem to leave an ick in the beaker. I'm not sure if the juice is seeping through the plastic or is the plastic is breaking down a little during the process. I can get some glass bottles from my supplier at a good price but will look around to see if there are cheaper one. I don't do eBay and am careful about the sites I go to. I've been ripped off before.

That's a pretty small vial at 3.5ml, you'd better get a lot of them.:p

I can get glass bottle from my supplier in just about any size. They're the amber ones we get our base in so I think these will work ok. I'd rather have clear glass so I can see what's happening through out the steeping process.

Hi Guys, Got my Isonic D3800A ultrasonic cleaner tonight and have started to work on some of my "fresh" juices. Question I have(sorry if its already been asked/answered) is this; how crowded should I put the bottles? It has a .6L capacity and a 8 min. max timer. Most of my juices are 10 ml and a couple of 20ml. Just looking for some general rules. Thanks much.

I usually bundle my bottles together with a rubber band just to keep them from floating all around. I have done 5 15ml bottles at the same time and had no issues worked just as it did with 1 bottle. I would think your only limitations would be the size of your unit

Labeling slippery glass bottles can be tricky. Use scotch tape over the label to insure it doesn't come off.

Generally speaking (lol) my experience has been that "tobacco" juice takes longer to reach about 80% of full steeping. About 4 hours. Sweet stuff juice maybe an hour or two or in some cases just let it sit in the tank for a day for the sweet stuff.

I also still mix Halo juice together like Tribecca and Voodoo. Into the UC they go to insure all the love has joined forces and blended for a couple of hours.

Careful with the tops/caps of the glass bottles. They can vibrate loose and then you have a mess. More likely on the childproof dropper kind. Firm tighten into the UC sauna and before removing.

Natch, some of the real vets in this thread may have other tips.

Hmmmm ... Tribeca + Voodoo ... I have both of those, never thought to mix them. It's good??

For labeling glass I used different colors (and or numbers of) rubber bands while in the UC and then applied labels when done.

I evolved into using glass flasks to make a larger 50-100ml (or more) batch and then pour it into smaller glass or plastic bottles when the UC is done.

Erlenmeyer Flasks and Volumetric Flasks both work particularly well because they are quite bottom heavy and are less likely to tip over. I personally like the Volumetric Flasks the best as even if they tip over on their side the top is so tall it sticks out of UC tank, no chance of spilling.

Senior Boy;

Excellent advice, just a day late for me LOL!!! Got my smallish(.6L) UC last night and start in. Made all the mistakes you mentioned but was able to salvage all but about 6 to 8ml of a 10ml bottle that water got into. Hadn't thought of the scotch tape idea and will go to using that. Going with glass in the future. Anyway, good advice from you and Dannyv45. Thanks.

@jperfect - Glad we could help you.

My bad...I forgot to thank the Godfather and Head Geek of UC steeping and that would be Professor bobalex.
Thank you sir for a very valuable and indispensable series of threads and of course also thanks to the vets. :)

Yea, good thoughts on the rubbers I mean rubber bands. LOL Learned about these from the ladies bling thread and just ordered these colored rubber bands from:

Neon 3 16" Medium 3 5 oz Orthodontic Elastic Braces Dental Rubber Bands | eBay

@Scope666 - Yep! I'm vaping it as I type this. The draw is a milder/lighter Tribeca plus the subdued zesty kinda sweet of Voodoo. About balanced between the two for my buds. It still has a good TH and is always in my rotation.

75% Tribeca
25% Voodoo

Then into the sauna for an hour or two. Both components were already about 80% mature via the UC sauna for fours hours each.

(instead of Tribeca) - I've also tested this mix with TFA RY4 double without the AP drop since that NUT would get lost in this mix. Yum. Enjoy :)
