Ya' know Danny, that's something I noticed recently. I used to crank up the voltage as high as I could without getting dry hits, now I'm finding that the taste can be better with lower voltages.

I sometimes wondered if my taste buds are messed up because when I read some of the voltages and wattage people use and tried using them myself, everything tasted burnt. I'm usually under 4v and 7.5 watts. I know tastes vary, but I find especially for sweets and fruits, lower power tastes so much better to me.

Cheers,
Steve

I have never gone above 3.8v with my T3's but hardware does vary. My kayfun rba and vamo VVB should be arriving in a week or so, so maybe my voltage's may change.

Not to worry. Just vape :) Funny, as I'm typing this I've got my spinner cranked up to 3.9 with my own friggin super sweet and I do mean supper sweet hyper flavor Capella Vanilla Custard primary note plus yummy stuff. Normally I'm in the range of 3.3 to 3.7 across a number of different delivry devices and Mods. At the end of the day it's my buds and anyone who gives you static, send them to Danny or me. /LOL

+1 Let your taste bud be your guide. Sweeter flavors will need higher voltage only as the coil gunks up but these type of mixes always start with a lower voltage then the voltage needs to increase to compensate for the gunk.

I do my 5ml test batches fully submerged but you need to test your glass bottles to make sure they won't leak. I do this by screwing the caps on tight and submerging them in water for 24 hours. If there is no water in them after 24 hours your good to go. I use the boston round 5ml glass bottles you can find on amazon. They are heavy enough to sink when empty. If they float then you'll need to put something heavy on top of them like a pan inside a pan type deal.

What glass bottles do you recommend using and where do you get them from?

The only thing is that dram bottles are horrible when it comes to filling devices.

That's what syringes are for.

The poster was inquiring what glass bottles will be best used for steeping in a UC not what was best for filling cartos.

hmmmm don't wanna have a forum fight.

There is nothing like using dropper bottles in your UC so that you can actually taste your mix during your UC process. 30 min / 1 hour of UC, bottle out, cap off and drip into your dripping atomizer for testing, cap on, back into UC if needed. dirtying a syringe or pipette is just a waste.

Those who have been where you are trying to go should provide you with great places to eat and stay when you get there not just directions.

The argument there was that plastic bottles absorb waves and thus are less efficent. They can also in time shed some of the plastic molecules that can leech into the mix (soft squeeze type). But they can be used if it's more convenient but should be rotated and not used after a certain period of time.

Should you have gone where I have already been then you would have already known that.

Makes a nice test size.

That's what I was thinking. I could make 10ml batches, steep in the 8ml bottles and leave 2ml in the unsteeped bottle in order to compare and contrast the effects of steeping.

Is it true that steeping works best when the vials are more filled or completely full or is that unnecessary?

Also, any recommendations on a UC? I saw one by Solid Tech that looked good but I PM'd the poster and he said it only had an 8 minute timer. I'm looking for something with at least a 60 minute timer, but 30 minute could work.

Furthermore, what are your thoughts on long cycles? Does the heat get too high and risk breaking down the Nicotine which has a recommended ceiling temperature of 120F?

Thanks again
