I always use hot water to start with. The ultrasonic keeps the water hot, just by running it. So actually you don't need the heater. The operating temperature from the ultrasonic device is hot enough to keep the water warm, even after an hour i can barely put a finger in the water and not burn it.

How long do you prefer to run your batches?

Well my ultrasonic cleaner arrived yesterday. I got home late, so I didn't have a chance to run it or try it out at all..

But part of the lid is cracked. I might not care if I bought the $20 model, but I bought the $80 model. I emailed the company and asked them to ship me a new lid. We'll see what their response is. If I have to mail them something first I'm going to be quite angry. They can send me a $0.50 plastic lid since they sent me damaged goods.

Sad! :(

I recently finished my second video:

I'm considering doing more reviews. What do y'all think?

I really liked it. I was surprised that I stuck with it the entire time, I thought it would be too long. I have one critique - either make a stronger promo for the upcoming guce video or cut out the juice reference completely to save time. Best quality, you give good voice. You are a pleasure to listen to in your moderation of the vid. 2nd best, nice in cuts from the other movies and stuff.

Well, it ended up better than I was expecting. They shipped me out a lid via Priority Mail today.. "We are replacing it for free." Woohooo! And it should be here Friday! Now if only I could trust the cracked lid enough to try the dang thing out tonight!!!

Okay ... just finished this one today. Been having waaaay too much fun with it. Gotta get some more 808 cartos though ...

So do you hit it right off the cartomizer or put a drip tip on it to vape? When you fill the cartomizer what is your clue to stop because you deem it full? I watched the entire vid but my friend got impatient and jumped to 3:00 where the review actually started. A ruthless editor might cut everything out before the actual review except the blackout bit where we hear the sound and the jeans part. That would be enough intro - just enough to personalize the review.

I am way late with questions. I know this was done months ago. Thanks for your review. I have never seen one.

Right off the carto. I don't think there's room for a drip tip. Even if there was ... I don't have any 808 drip tips to find out.

When you fill the cartomizer what is your clue to stop because you deem it full?

With a fresh carto I patiently fill with the syringe with one ml of juice in it. If I'm refilling ... I put the bottom cap on the carto and fill until the filler is soaked. Then after 10-15 minutes for carto absorption ... I blow out the excess, wipe carefully with a paper towel, and vape. I have to pretty psycho about not overfilling as the ZIPEZ is an automatic and unsealed. Don't want to kill it.

A ruthless editor might cut everything out before the actual review except the blackout bit where we hear the sound and the jeans part.

There's a huge difference between a ruthless editor and a self-indulgent editor. As soon as I have some time I'm going to cut two-two and a half minutes out of it. Not the ruthless editor version but certainly less self-indulgent.

Trust the lid. When I make my juice I don't use the lid.

YAY!!! Thank you!

I received a PM from a guy who tried the ultrasonic method for two hours with no improvement in the juice. Anybody have any ideas why/how that might happen? It's certainly not been my experience.?

What kind of juice? If it's a flavor (say, a fruit) that doesn't really need steeping, and it's under-flavored.. I could see the GUCE method not working. If it's the person I'm thinking about anyway. Shrug.

I'm eyeballing this one..

Heater, 30 minute cycle, and a 3" tall tank instead of the common 2" ... very tempting.

Amazon.com: Joy4Less Professional Grade Ultrasonic Cleaner 4810, 30-min Timer, Plastic Basket: Electronics

EDIT: Oh, forget eyeballing it. Ordered it!

Someone else did too, the # in stock is slowly dropping! :D

Also, this was in the description. Made me giggle:
It's the best model for mixing purpose.

For those who care, it has a pretty decent warranty:
1 year parts and labor. If customer is within the lower 48 states of USA, we'll ship the returned unit back to the customer for free. If customer is outside the lower 48 states of USA, customer to pay shipping both ways.

I've got this one on the WishList. For now I think I will stick to the foot bath. I can just leave it on.

I have an ultrasonic cleaner I use for cleaning atomizers and making liposomal vitamin C.

Tonight I mixed a 1% tobacco mix and put it in the ultrasonic cleaner for 30 min. I then almost boiled water on the stove and put the glass vial into the water and intend to keep it there until it cools.

My question is:

Do I remove the dropper cap when it's in the almost boiling water or leave it on?

After that I intend putting it back in the ultrasonic cleaner until I'm tired of resetting the 8 min time interval.

I buy my bottles with screw on caps not droppers. Then I buy a few dropper caps of each size I need. It costs less and I don't have to store a dropper inside a bottle unless I want to for frequent use.

So last night I am pretty sure my mixes went through 4 hours. I lost count at the end... It was either 3.5 or 4, but I'm pretty sure it was 4.

Decided to dive right into the M-Type (needs more steeping than anything else). This is a 2% mix that will be two weeks old on Saturday. In my experience, it usually tastes horrible until it's steeped for 4 whole weeks. Let me tell you what .. it's vapeable! What a miracle. The taste has developed into that strange, intriguing flavor that makes the M-Type so unique. I'm impressed!

My Cowboy mix (same age) was lacking before a trip in the ultrasonic. It's a little darker now, and pretty well blended. I am tasting a strange vegetable note though... Green beans? Very weird.

My Signature Sweet n Smoky 'Bacco is SO well blended that the smoke note is pretty much gone. I will have to play around with the Black Fire in different juices and percentages now. I was never really good at steeping (patience), so I don't know how long I used to let most juices sit. A week or two, maybe!

My Cowship Trooper (tobacco) is a beautiful, dark and rich color, and the nuances of the juice that I love so much are definitely present.

My Purecig clone, mixed just 5 days ago, is pretty tasty. The "dryness" is gone, and I'm considering trying to mix this .5 - 1% higher flavoring. Could be my tastebuds though, so I'll have to taste again later.

There's more to taste, and I definitely need to throw more juices in the US to test them out as well. But so far -- I must say, this is a WIN!

I'm definitely getting myself one of these. Steeping for weeks just doesn't seem practical to me and besides I'm way to impatient for that haha.

Can you oversteep? On the bottles of my premixed juice it says that they can be used up to a year after purchase. Will the taste continue to change during that time or will it eventually stay thesame after a given time?
