Outside of 4-5 folks there seems to be little or no interest at what heat point nic begins to degrade or the entire UC/CP debate. Maybe a lot of folks just aren't in a big hurry to heat force their mixes into maturity but rather prefer to let their mixes age/blend naturally with time or else are satisfied with their juice freshly mixed.

Well, if they arent interested then they probably arent reading a thread devoted to speed steeping.

At over 1300 posts it certainly appears that someone is interested in this stuff.

Blueser you've made some off the wall comments but this takes the cake. There are so many post on this forum about speed steeping and many of them you have been part of so how can you justify a comment like that?

I know your a real big opponent of natural steeping but lets get real here. Natural steeping is not for us people that are always in a hurry.

Don't get offended I still love ya:)

Danny, no I did not titrate the samples you getting.

The objective of your test was to subjectively figure out if ultrasonic cavitation offered anything more than just heat alone.

The other test you quoted was to measure the effects of heat on nicotine potency.

Two different tests.

I got and sampled the mixes and the results are:

Firstly I used an igo dripper coiled at 1.8ohms with 28awg A1 with silica 3mm wick. I intentionally went with a middle of the road ohm to reflect the average vaper. I rinsed the coil and rewicked for each sample. Battery is a VAMO set to 4V.

Control sample:

First thing I noticed was the lighter color and the odor was far weaker then sample A & B. The taste was a weaker tobacco and little caramel flavor. Nicotine seemed slightly harsh. This was to be expected as steeping time from the time it was made to when I received it was a week to about 10 days.

Control sample A:

Darker in color had a nice odor of caramel. Taste was a stronger tobacco taste with a nice rich caramel topnote but slightly more harsh then the control sample.

Control sample B:

Very slightly darker then sample A. Odor and taste to me was identical but only ever so slightly less harsh then sample A but still harsher then the control sample. I would say sample A and B were almost identical in taste and the difference in harshness was negligable between all samples (Control, A & B).

Conclusion:

Both samples seemed slightly harsher then the control sample but rich in flavor and Sample B was ever so slightly less harsh then sample A. The harshness to me would not be a detering factor and this particular NIC does have more of a harshness then others I've used regardless of steeping but to some that don't like a good throat hit it can be an issue.

I will continue vaping the mixes throughout the evening and come back if there's anything further to add and answer any questions.

Curious, as when they got packaged, sample A was slightly darker than sample B.

They all had an amber even the control sample. The control sample was the lightest and sample A & B were noticably darker but still on the lighter side of amber with B being ever so slightly darker then A. Best way to see the difference is to hold the bottle on it's side and look at the bottom of the bottle up towards the cap.

I must be one of the "few" who are totally interested in the results of these speed steeping tests. I do not want to wait 4-6 weeks for my juices to "mature". I for one really appreciate Mike and the others for their efforts. I have a UC and a crock pot and I am waiting anxiously for the results.

My MikeP Steeping Test Findings.

Color: All three were light amber. Color difference among the three is almost indiscernible. However, my son, granddaughter and I concluded that "B" is the darkest, with the Control Sample being the lightest.

Smell: I honestly could not tell any difference.

Vape: I used three (3) brand new Kanger T3s atty's. I rotated them as I sampled, using the same battery - a freshly/fully charged EgO set at 3.7 volts.
-Control Sample: Tasty, slightly harsh, but vapable in a pinch. Defiantly feel the throat...
-Sample A: Very similar taste - maybe a little more flavorful, not quite as harsh. Good throat...
-Sample B: Taste virtually the same as A, but just slightly smoother. Flavor seems even a little more developed, flavor lingers a little longer.

Initial Conclusions after 3 passes on each within a 10 minute session:

-Control Sample stands out as "not yet ready for prime time."
-Sample A and B are so very close that I would have a hard time actually detailing the exact differences if selling this to a friend. Both A and B are acceptable to me as "finished product". Control Sample still needs more time...

About an hour later - Started backward this time with 4 "hits" on Sample B. Waited about 5 minutes, and repeated same with Sample A, followed by a tour of Control Sample. Sample B is the smoothest. Sample A is pretty darn close, but the Control Sample is "green".

edit - Thanks MikeP. Let's do some more...

Well I've been now vaping these samples for several hours. The control sample has been put off to the side and as mentioned prevously is still green and needs some time to mature so I feel no need to continue along with it. I will compare these samples again after the control sample naturally matures in a few weeks.

I switched to 2 fresh brand new 510 atti's that I wadded a little cotton into and am dripping with those. As I've been vaping both samples A&B for several hours now the harshness is much less. Not because the mixes have magically changed, it's just my throat has adjusted to the Nicotine. My opinion as far as my last review has not changed. The flavors are as I first reported and I must say I am enjoying them. My complements on the formulation of the mix, it turned out very good.

Just got home gentlemen from giving the worst speech known to man, but I came home to the Mike package. Unfortunately, I only have a few hours before I need to leave for work.

However, to make things easier, I loaded up 3 new iclears/with vamo and will road test them on the road...45 minute commute. I'm not often this busy, so I am sorry for delay. Will post results soon, but keep in mind I'm 3 hours slower than most of you.

Yay!!! I can finally sit and share the results. First off, thank you Rowdy Mike for the quick and well packaged shipping (care package will follow in a week), and thank you Mike P for taking the time to mix and steep for us.

Like I said, to make it easy for myself, I used some new iclear30 2.1ohms that I won.

Color: CS was the lightest, and B had only a slightly darker color than A.

Smell: I did not detect the ry4. All three were reminiscent of buttered-caramel corn.

TH: All three definitely had it, but A seemed to be a bit harsher than the other two. B and CS were very similar in this aspect.

Taste: I noticed a definite change in taste between all three.

CS - The flavor was there, but as expected, it was weaker.

A - Much more flavorful than CS, but it still wasn't full bodied

B - I almost said wow. Huge flavor. It was as if I was eating buttered-caramel corn without getting kernels stuck in my teeth.

Conclusion: B's flavor was intense. Whatever method was employed, it was the best imo.

If I forgot any info, let me know.

I vote to wait a few more days.

For example, I removed part of each label - trimmed each side - so I can have better visual access. Now, I am leaning more toward "A" being slightly darker than the other two. ("Control" is very light, but now "A" & "B" are neck in neck colorwise.)

I have recharged all three batteries and continue to bounce across the samples throughout the day. "Control" is still "green". "A" & "B" are both good, and "B" remains my favorite. Less harsh, more caramel flavor, and deeper tobacco taste...than "A".

I'm anxious to know, but as soon as you announce, I will most probably develop a "bias".

Leave us in the dark for at least the long weekend - is my vote.
