Yeah!. And Bugatti best get THEIR (squat) together TOO! I mean, have you SEEN those commercials for new Toyota Camry Hybrids? The ones where the Joyride is so awesome all the passengers are literally SCREAMING?

Those things are BEASTS.

AND they cost a WHOLE LOT LESS than a Veyron too. Step that (squat) UP, Bugatti!

And YEAH, ADD SOME BACON TOO!!!

Joviality aside...are you really comparing Bugatti to anything?

I see you though...

To the OP, I'm curious on something with the whole SVD is built just as good argument etc. So now and then the Provari top cap will become a little crooked. This happens to me every now and then when my Provari with a solid atty on top is in my back pocket and I sit on it and the top cap (which is press fit) gets a tad crooked.

The official method from the Provape website is to take the atty off, put a piece of wood on top, and hit it with a hammer. I just had to do this cause I sat on my Provari today with my Dripper Pro on top. No chance of the 510 on either device getting mangled because those two together might as well be a solid piece of steel.

Anyhow, I'd be interested to know how the SVD fairs if you put a piece of wood on top, place it on a solid surface and then proceed to hit it with a hammer.

So I've heard a lot about Provari owners not taking any crap about nay sayers. I can now see this is quite true, just look for anyone mocking the ~just sayin~.

I have no opinion because I haven't used either and honestly could care less, if you're enjoying something then good for you thats great, at least your not smoking cancer sticks. The OP just stated his opinion and now its like a fanboy rant. iPhones v Android, Xbox One v PS4, Provari v The World.

vape what you like.
~stay classy :2cool:~

I'm a ProVari owner, several times over. I can take any crap about ProVari that you want to sling. You bring it, I'll just sit back and vape. :vapor:

Are people still throwing poo at the Provari folks?
I'm going to be honest here. I did a little trade deal with a friend for a week. He got my Gus and I got his Provari. It was okay, but I ended up shelving it for another one of my mechs after day 4. Sure, it was nice- solid, reliable, accurate..... Just not my cup of tea. With that said- I respect the device for what it is even though I would never buy one.
I'm not even a Provari owner and these threads get under my skin. If you don't want one, don't buy one. If you don't buy one, what's the point of flaming Provari owners?

I think some like torturing the Provari owners. I would like to try do Mechs but not sure if I have the dexterity for wrapping coils. I think my fingers might be too big and clumsy.

Seriously, just name your thread, "I love my SVD!" and it changes everything. It's a good mod - I liked mine too (JUST sold it). Unfortunately, the person who bought it is already having issues with the firing (common with the SVD).

And while the SVD is truly MUCH less expensive that a Provari, the large number of people who've had issues with them (SVD) provide one possible explanation of the price differential.

So, you SHOULD love your SVD. And I truly hope you enjoy it, for a very long time. But if you feel compelled to make any comparisons, just take a vape, and think about it, first.

I LOVE my 2002 Toyota Celica (with 140k on it), but I'd NEVER bring Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, etc., into the conversation. It's simply not relevant.

Oh sigh.

The members who post on ECF are a small segment of the vaping world. The members who like debating VV vs VW are an even smaller group. Smaller still are the number of people who would run out and buy a ProVari if it came out in VW. ProVape is a business, they are in this to make money. "You" are not their target customer. Their target customers are people like my friends, who bought ProVaris because they liked mine. It's well made, durable and comes with a warranty. End of story. They don't know a watt from a wallaby and couldn't care less. It's little, it fits in your purse, and $200.00 is nothing if it's your only mod and you aren't running around trying every new toy that hits the market.

Why would a profitable company redesign their best selling product when it sells just fine the way it is? You can ask Coca-Cola about that stroke of genius. I'm not saying it's the best device on the planet. I'm not saying it suits the needs of every vaper. What I'm saying is don't get a ProVari if you don't want one. In fact, I don't want you to get a ProVari at all, we are running out of ice on the veranda.

Well I have a Provari, and it's sitting right here by my elbow while I vape away on a Zen. There is also a Silver Bullet sitting here beside my elbow, and that old beast still ranks as one of the best PV's ever produced. Matter of fact I can think of quite a few really great PV's.

I will just say that no PV is any better than what you use on it. No one vapes a battery! We vape what the battery powers.

The comparison with the iPhone is a comparison about the time the iPhone was the best, and the Androids became closer and closer to the point that now (IMO) they are better than the iPhone.

    ~just sayin~

As a HUGE fan of Android, dating back to the G1, they are still not there yet. Apple does one thing well, put a mediocre OS on an outdated device and make it run like butter.

Android has perfected the way of pairing a superior OS to the most advanced devices and make it run on par with the iPhone. As a collective group, they are beating the iphone, but no one phone is beating out the iphone yet. The Galaxy line is on par and arguably better on software, but design is a bit flat. the HTC ONE is a superbly designed phone, but the Sense UI is very clunky. And in my opinion the Droid Moto line is getting there in both software and hardware, but having almost near exclusivity with Verizon is a dealbreaker for me.

    These are just my opinions.

And before I get accused of derailing the thread: I don't like Provari's but they are built well. And I would sooner compare them to RIM or Nokia in quality and dependability. Anyone who has owned an old school Nokia or Blackberry will know those devices are very reliable.

I really loved my Blackberry. I have an iPhone now and love that too. But the blackberry was an awesome phone. Heck, I remember those huge monstrosities that first came out for the general public :) Anyone remember the car phone in the TV series Charlie's Angels? Now that was cutting edge technology!

I would've liked that post had you not switched to an iPhone. :)

I've been a BlackBerry user for ages & still am. I hate the iPhones & tried an Android for about a week before I returned it. It's sad that RIM is being forced to compete with Android/iPhone since they're a bit of a different product (or at least they used to be, they're getting closer & closer just trying to be competitive). It's a losing battle, though, kind of like Michael Jordan's baseball career. They were top notch at what they did, but since society has moved to a different market, they won't keep their heads above water unless they follow into that market which has never been their niche. At least I still have a box of old BB's that I can still reactivate if I need to... and the fact they don't need a cell contract to be a usable device.
