So I've been going strong with my Vision eGo-C and Vision eGo Clearos for about a week. I have some Boge LR cartos for when I just need some different juice for a bit.

Has anyone really just stuck with their initial setup? I haven't seen the need to move to mods, and can picture myself using this setup in the future, maybe switching to some Kanger M-T3s.

What's your long term story?

Also has anyone stepped down to no nic and how fast did you do it?

i started with a dct and then went to clearomizers like the vivi nova for about a month, got a bridgeless dripping atomizer and fell in love with the flavor and vapor, but was costly and would only last about a month at the most. so i got into rebuildable drippers and a mechanical mod. the ability to custom taylor my vape to my liking and the low cost of rebuilding was phenomenal. next leap was a genesis atomizer...oh boy the game for me went to the next level. amazing flavor, vapor and nic delivery i stepped down from 18mg to 12mg that same week. not only do i get the dense fog of vapor but the convenience of a tank as well

For what I need from my vape setup, eGo C batts and some M/T3s are all I need at this point. I switched from regular 510 carts and I'm loving the clearos. I'll probably pick up some different styles in the future but at this point what I have is perfect. I'm also a total brand loyalist, which in this field isn't proving to be good. I'm really enjoying Kanger products so far. On my next order, probably with a new clearo, I'll be trying some 0 nic juice.

I have been vaping my first ego kit for some months now, love it but felt i wanted to try new things so i ordered vv mod, mech mod, tanks, RBA etc etc to see what i like. Don't really need it as my ego does just fine but as i said, wanted to try new things.

But i can see why people have this as a hobby, and like to collect them.
The mods looks really nice and if you are lucky to buy an exclusive mod you can even make some $$ on it :)

i'm not crazy about the idea of modifying setups but i do want to take a step up from what i have (kr808d-1) and i was thinking an eg-c or twist but i guess i don't know enough about them yet? but i feel like whatever i get next is probably going to be what i'll keep for a long time.

My eGo-C died and I got a Vision Spinner as a replacement. I use it with either my Kanger T3 or MT3 top when I'm out and about since it's much more portable. I think these are minimum in terms of portability in the fat batt arena.

My Zmax V2 with my AGAT+ is quit hefty. Between my eGo-C dying and my replacement arriving, I had to carry my Zmax around. Went to a bar in SF and one of the female bartenders kept staring at me in huddled in a dark corner trying to sneak in puffs on it. Finally she came over and asked what it was that I was doing, so I showed her the Zmax. She started laughing and said she was glad she asked because from her angle it looked like I was a creepy guy in a dark corner "...gnawing on a female 'pleasure toy' ":lol::lol:

I started with cigalikes, then mech mods, then VV, then bottom feeders, then VW. Plus cartos, clearos, and tanks. At this point I drip on mech mods, mech mods kicked, and VW. If what you have works that's all that matters! Had I not found this forum and joined a local vape group I probably would have stuck with my silver bullet and a LR atty - my third purchase of many at this point. I've sold a bunch of mods to buy new mods - sometimes to realize I preferred the old ones. It's a collecting sickness!

A mod with replaceable batteries can be cheaper in the long run, that's the only advantage I can see changing something that is obviously working for you.

im running an ego with smok vivi's with 1.8 attys. im waiting on some bridgeless to see if vaping is just dull flavors or if my tanks are garbage. i quit chewing and switched to vaping and ive been at it about 2 weeks. i put all my eggs into 1 basket from reading the forums here, so im not going to give up, but i do have a tendency to burn a lot of liquid and get moody when things are tasting or hitting right. i think if i step it up i will be switching to a vamo.

Started with an SD Keyring & cartos. It only has 300-330 mah so I wanted more battery life & the convenience of built in charging so went with an eGo-T USB battery. Used that battery with Stardust style clearomizers exclusively.

Ended up wanting to try out Variable Voltage so bought a 650 Twist. Used this with clearos exclusively too for months. Bought a 1000 Twist for the longer battery life.

Few weeks after buying the Twist I upgrade to a Provari. I'm really against unnecessary waste and throwing away an entire device because its built in battery went south is definitely wasteful IMO. Ordered a Vivi Nova & a ReDux to try & save some money with replacement heads. But their inconsistency left much to be desired & I wasted some money with wonky heads. Finally tried my hand at rebuilding heads.

After wrapping many successful coils for those I found working with the heads a complete pain. Tiny working area, shorting on the sidewalls, etc. Purchased an AGA-T v1.5 and haven't looked back. Ended up buying an AGA-T2 and some custom blasted glass for both. They are all I use now. Also have an A7 I like, got it for testing flavors & use on eGo style batteries & SDK. But I vape unflavored and there is no point in taste testing it.

I'm waiting on a CVI v1 & Youde AGR Carto-Tank (latter should be here today/tomorrow). I see myself buying a few more devices, specifically a mechanical mod or two, and possibly another genesis or RBA. I kind of want a Provari Mini as my out & about/backup because I've become so used to my full size its kind of hard to go back to anything else.

I've still got all my eGo batteries & SDK and use them semi-frequently. They've got their place in my collection & they still work as they did on day one. No regrets as far as battery purchases go (though I over estimated mods & suspected they were much more difficult to deal with than eGo style...which isn't really true).

But all in all, the pieces have fallen together, and I've found a setup I'm insanely happy with. Easy and very cost effective to maintain (under $1/day) plus its absolutely solid as a rock (I messed up my first twist & USB dropping and mishandling). It looks nice too, which can't hurt but wasn't priority.

Canderson, I see you're new to the forum and welcome.
There is nothing wrong with staying with whatever works for you. That's the most important thing you always need to remember.

Some get lucky and find their perfect set-up right away and happily stick with it like my wife did. Others (myself included) keep looking for the perfect set-up even though we already have a very satisfying vape set-up. I think when many of us quit smoking the stinky sticks a lot of us fall into severe OCD from the lack of inhaling rat poison or sumthin and find it hard to walk away from this new found hobby and all the cool shiny new toys that keep showing up. I personally didn't want a new Hobby and as much as it pains me to admit it, that's the only explanation I have for acting like I do when it comes to vapping and all the PV's, APV's, Clearo's and RBA's and on and on and on.

One word of advise I can give is to keep your eyes open to all the new toys that are out now and in the future but consider your upgrades and purchases VERY carefully and just before you hit that "add to cart" button, stop and research it a little more and ask yourself, "Do I have the money to play around and have some fun trying out these new toys even though I'm happy with what I got?"
IF your answer is yes, then go ahead and give that shiny new toy a try. You might like it or you might not. That's one of the cool things about vapping vs. smoking. There are endless mountains of new toys to play with if you have the $$ and the time to do some research.

As for nic levels, I personally started out at 24mg and dropped to 18mg within a few months and then to 12mg over the course of my 2 1/2 years of vapping.

Hope some of my rambling is helpful and again welcome to the forum. Lots of great folks here.

This is the best advise ever. I always think to myself "Will I still be happy without this?" But then I order juice and manage to convince myself into a new toy at the same time...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess it's all in playing with bits and pieces.

Ps: I've been using a version of ry4 for daily. Anyone have any recommends on sweeter tobacco flavors?

Check out Backwoods brew. There are way to many that I could suggest so just read some of the descriptions and go from there. Maybe Virginia for a sweeter tobacco. I'm a Casablanca nut myself and it's all I vape for the past 2 years. I found my perfect brew with that one. :D BWB is by far the only vapping related stuff I point blank recommend to anyone. Not many can disagree.

Oh, and in case you haven't learned this yet, always try the smallest bottles first until you find the ones you like then buy the jumbo size bottles. ;)

I just went back to Egos and dripping attys with the occasional DCC usage from my provari and rebuildable tanks. To much fussing about with coils and such and got tired of the huge Deedo shaped PV. The Ego works fine for me but the Provari did help me get through the 1st 6 months chain vaping non stop. Its just not needed anymore and I just packaged it all up to sale.

This^^^. Feeling the same way except I use "stardust" type v3 clearos and vivi novas with the changable heads.
Cheap and easy. Can't bring myself to part with my provari yet but if I ever "really" need the 150 bucks back I would.
The ego 900 and 1100mah batts with stardusts or vivis just work, and work well, for me. YMMV.

For the long term, have several ego c on order, with G5 clearos, love these. Plus my mini novas, along with dozens of 1.8 and 2.4 coils, these should last me several years, also have 2 Vamos now. So I'm extremely happy with what I use and have plenty to last just in case....

I also have several types of chargers, for all. Me happy happy.
