Just today I've started to have issues with my Mini firing on its own. It seems like the button isn't springing back as much as it should (not "sticky" as in juice got into the button area). Is this a known issue? Is there a simple DIY fix I could do? Or should I just contact Rob directly?

The Mini is about 3 months old, and has become my only PV. I'll have to buy another Reo in order to be able to send this one in for repair :).

Thanks

Take a q tip with some alcohol on it run it around the button letting some fluid run down the button. push the button up and down repeatedly.Let it dry before you use the mod.If this doesn't work pm me.

Thanks. I'll try that once I'm home from work. If it's still sticking after that, I'll definitely pm you.

I get the sticky butto non my Grand about every 2 months. It only happens on the one I take to work. When it starts to stick, I disassemble the switch, pop the button out, and give everything a good cleaning. It's not the easiest thing to do, and you can mess up the mod if you're not careful. The number one culprit to a sticky button, for me at least, is pocket fuzz. Something so stupid can really play havoc on something so great.

Just to follow up on this, I gave the button area a good soaking in 99% isopropyl and then moved it up and down and twisted it a number of times. At first it didn't appear to do anything, but suddenly the "spring" came back. Re-noaloxed and no more unintended battery-firing.

I'll have to remember to clean the button area more than once every three months :)
