I had an old 50 Merc that couldn't get out of it's own way, so I was contemplating all the neat hot rod stuff of the time for it. One of my dads friends said that the saw mill had a bunch of Heister engines laying around for cheap (450cid flat head) that would bolt right in. OH, the fun of being a teenager!

That eventually led to a degree in automotive engineering .... so I say 'let teenagers have their fun'.
a case of beer and a engine to swap out in one of our old trucks was as good as any way to spend a Sat night.

I've been thinking about getting a little project car going. Like a fox body mustang because they're so readily available. No experience in the automotive trade, but I could learn. My dad would love to help out. Him and his brothers had those nice challengers, chargers, vettes, and baracudas.

I'm not sure how its always connected to da mans gonna get us??

Sure I agree blowing clouds in the ceral isle at Walmart is stupid but walking across the parking isn't bothering anything.

Last night I was hitting my Atlantis at 80w's with a .3Ω coil. Frankly its to hot for me but the taste was fantastic and the clouds were hella. I had fun. Then I used a Starre at 50w and .25Ω and holy crap clouds.

If your not blowing clouds in stangers faces your being a good citizen.

If your not sub ohming cause ya tried its a didn't like it that's cool, everyone's journey is different.

But if your just listening to other people without trying it your missing out. I personally don't like the real low ohms but understand why people do. I don't like the high ohms either cause thats like smoking and I'm trying to walk towards something exciting rather then fearing something. As much as possible I try to keep everything as LITTLE like smoking as I can.

My sweet spot is like .5 up to 1.2ish. My kind doesn't have a name. Which strikes me as unfair.

I agree! I don't remember everyone trying to ban cigarettes when we started smoking....But I do remember when they said "No more Joe Camel". Can't we just throw 5 Pawns under the bus and let the rest do their thing? :w00t:

I thought you were trying I call me a tootle puffer for a second. No offense to them, nice people lol.
Honestly unless some one brings it up I spend about 0 time of my day thinking about clouding or toodle puffing. Having a pretty good selection of atys and mods at my disposal I do both depending on what ever takes my fancy that day. It makes for interesting conversation here on ECF but in the real world the cereal aisle is not cloudy much to Asbestos disappointment

Are you feeling inadequate about it?

Inadequate? No. I think there should be more quality tanks on in the market that are comparable to the Nautilus or Mini, and not just RTA's.

Sub-ohming is really popular right now, the market is being saturated with new ones all the time. If you're not sub-ohming, there's few options out there for people who don't rebuild regularily, if at all, or don't want crappy iClears. Nautilus is pretty much king in that market in terms of airflow, reliability, and quality in a tank. But it's nice to have other great options... There's counltess options for sub-ohming at least, but what about the other type of vapesters?

Kanger makes a few high-ohm tanks, but good luck finding coils for them at your local B&M, most of them don't even carry those tanks to begin with anymore since they're old technology, but can i blame them?

Subtanks offer 1.2 ohm coils....they're pretty good. Tons of attys for standard builds like the Lemo, Kayfun, Taifun, Squape.....And the Nautilus is still a very good tank. Subohmers are like tootie puffers in that if you want a GREAT vape, you have to build it yourself. I know there's a ton of Subtanks available right now....they still have the potential to be lousy. The magic is in the build...pre built or not.

I think, and its a guess rather then fact based, that in that class of tank users are happy with there little Nautilus or move on to rebuilding. Take those two groups of people out and the market would be very small I think.

My best friend and I were committed Nautty users for life. But I went over to the dark side of rebuilding. My buddy stayed with the Nautilus. Til he tried my Taifun. Now he has two Taifun's on the way. Much better flavor. Orders of magnitude more reliable. Cheaper to own but that wasn't a factor for either of us.

With all of the VV/VW devices on the market now +1 ohm vaping has a lot of options at this time. You are correct though if you're not into rebuilding you will be limited to what manufacturers are offering kind of like buying a car off the lot and being happy with it or "modding" it yourself to make it what you want. But with all the coil jigs available now it's very easy to get into rebuilding, if you're unsatisfied with the "pre-fab" tanks that are being offered give rebuilding a shot it's extremely satisfying and really easy. Not to mention a helluva lot cheaper than buying all those coils that last a few weeks and head to the trash.

    NO!!!

    We want a kewl name.

We want half of you to respect and maybe fear us with our scarey 30w boxes and .7 builds and the other half to hold us in contempt, maybe even spit alittle when they say our name.

I'm not scared to vape big clouds in public. I do it when I go out to drink with my girlfriend or when I'm driving around town. I even do it in the back room at work! But I'm respectful about it in public, so I never worry and nobody bugs me.

I just want more high quality tanks, similar to the Nautilus, for low wattage vaping because I find a 1.8 coil at 10-13 watts more satisfying overall at times. Maybe RTA's are just the way to go until the vaping industry gets back to basics? It's like everything came to a standstill with Kangertech and their direction, but then it became outdated and forgotten when sub-ohming hit the scene and the whole market jumped on that bandwagon and everything else was history.

I'm a vaper I don't belong to any groups except other vapers. And I will gladly embrace each and every vaper I meet as one of my own whether they are vaping a cig-a-like or a mech with a .2 build. And we can hang out have a drink and talk juice and gear all night long. If you can't appreciate that I have no time for you.

(I'll even be cool to Chevy owners just don't tell my Ford friends that.)

I think many/most look at those as starter tanks.

The RTA markets has been on fire for awhile. I'm a collector and a user so I'm always on the hunt. And something new pops up everyday.

I honestly can't think of anything they can do with RTA's at this point except change to look. Building a deck has been reduced to childsplay. I can coil and wick a Taifun in about the same time as changing a Nautilus coil. And a Taifun at 1.5Ω and 15w will make the same juice out of a Nautilus seem like a gas station cigalike.
