So I got the bloog pv with an automatic battery due to the so many successful reviews I've read and watched on youtube.. and well... no matter what I still crave analogs

24mg, gave me a nicotine OD.. the 6mg feels like i'm smoking a hookah, no satisfaction at all, and the 11mg is making me slightly nauseated.. but i still crave for an analog..

sigh, maybe my will-power really sucks...as i do have an addictive personality...

What i think it is, is the way I inhale cigarettes (marlboro/parliament lights). I drag the smoke with a slight inhale through the lungs, more like a small breath, and also more so through the mouth..

then when i inhale the smoke, it's in the motion of when someone "sighs", then exhale.. (most people when they smoke analogs from what i can tell, after the drag, they take a deep inhale)

which is nothing like like my pv where i'm sucking from a straw.. i probably inhale more of the pv smoke and it's just not the same... i end up getting nauseated or feeling nothing at all too

QUESTIONS
is there something that can produce enough throat hit/smoke/warmness of a cigarette with the way i personally inhale analogs? i tried smoking the pv like i do a cigarette but not enough smoke comes out to even feel it much....

i ordered manual batteries to give this one last shot.. will this help?

is it because the cartomizers are 100% pv that i'm getting a headache?

i ordered juice from BWB, hoping maybe i can produce more smoke. is this even going to do anything?

do i just need a new pv? i'm a college student.. kinda introverted, so i really want something discrete... am i really going to have to convert to a bigger/non-discrete model to replicate what an analog feels to me?

or am i being unrealistic where nothing will produce an analog type smoke?...

sigh, sorry i'm frustrated guys, i spent ALOT of money messing with this thing jus to get nauseated headaches during finals week comin up... and i'm still smoking analogs (pack a day).

i read so many stories of people quitting here and i really want to become one of those

looking for advice =[

EDIT:
just had an analog.. and when i drag the smoke.. it's all mouth sucking.. none through the lungs really

then i inhale with that "sigh" type motion..

trying to do this on a pv (maybe cus of the automatic battery) just doesn't generate enough smoke

Well, you could try the route I took to switch.

I vaped when I could and smoked when I had to.

I kept trying different juices and vaped when I could and smoked when I had to.

As I got better with picking juices that worked for me, I vaped more, but still vaped when I could and smoked when I had to.

Found a great flavor and continued to, yeah you guessed it, vaped when I could and smoked when I had to.

Woke up one day and discovered I had forgotten to smoke the day before. I just forgot to smoke. Have not looked back since.

ya i actually felt that was a more realistic goal for me.. but what seems to be happening is that i'll hit my pv... the 6mg jus endless non satisfaction.. or the 11mg where- craving wise- feels a little better.. hit it a few more times and feel slightly nauseated.. but still crave an analog..

so then i eventually have an analog and i jus get nicotine high =T

doesn't help that i don't really like all the cartomizer flavors thus far.. maybe the bwb juices i ordered will help with that

First off, all PG juice will not give you the massive vapor that VG juice will. I hope the BWB juice has at least 20-30% VG. A pv is just not a cigarette...any way you cut it. But you could get just as obsessive about it as you did about your cigs. Instead of trying to find something that will let you inhale just the way you did with a cig, I'd try to inhale in a way that I'd get the most from my pv. We all had to change our technique a little. Take a long, slow inhale into your mouth, then inhale it into your lungs. And I mean l-o-n-g and s-l-o-w. At least try it....nothing to lose.

Good luck.

Don't beat yourself up....smoke if you need to like Hoosier said. You are still pretty much in a learning period. Vaping is a bit different than smoking...
And mostly, everyone is different ! Some take to it right off....some take longer....some still do both.....

It's finals week.....you have so much stress right now.....

Yeah, that's what stunk for me, the bad tasting prefills.

My experience taught me that the juice is king. There is a juice out there that will satisfy that craving that, right now, only cigarettes can. (Maybe it was that I weaned myself off the other addicting chemicals in cigs over that time too?) But when I got a flavor that actually had me exclaim, "WOW!" out loud, everything changed. Vaping carried me between cigs longer and longer. It was enjoyable and fun and something I looked forward to, but most importantly wanted to do more than smoke.

Where I usually am
First of all, a Bloog??? I just checked out there web site and yup, looks like the same type of e cig I started on. I cant say much about them but I started with V2 Cigs. Believe me, I said the same damn thing!!! then I got a Joy ego passthru that had more voltage and longer battery life. Then I looked around and found blank cartomizers and e juices to do my own filling of them. I finaly found a juice and nic strength that worked for me. After all that, I dropped the analogs for good.
I also saw the cost of there 5 pack cartomizers and could not believe the cost. $10.99?????? siriously?????

All I can say is hang in there, look at the forums suppliers and do your research before you buy. You can get that info here at ECF.
I have smoked for 27 years and have been vaping for a year now and have not smoked since!! best of luck to ya.........

THOSE are some wise words.

I'm afraid I can't be much help here, myself. But I sincerely do hope you can find a combination that helps to push that analog feeling to the back of the head. Good luck.

Hoosier you made me smile. What flavors you vaping now?
Tree

Well, I'm a DIY'er so there is quite a selection. Around me in bottles or in carts or cartos right now is, Cuban Cigar, Bearclaw, Redhots, Baked pears with cinnamon, Mojito, Fudge Brownie, a couple as-of-yet un-named tobacco type flavors, and Apple Pie.

I try not to keep too many around me at any one time...

Hey, ok first off its all about the juice. IT may take awhile to find your nitch. Stick around the pif thread. This will be a good way to try many different types of juices. For me its freedom smokes usa. There tobacco flavors are perfect for me. I started at 24mg but I was also a pack aday smoker. Since then I have been working my mg levels down and am at 6mg. Once you get the juice worked out shoot for the hardware. Manual, auto batteries, atties, cartos, Lr vs standard. All of these factor into your vaping experience. For instance, for me, I think manual batteries give better hits. I used to really like LR, low resistance atomizers. The vaper they produce tends to me much hotter. Similiar to real cigs. Things like this can really make the difference. I would def go for the bigger battery, riva or ego's, then jump on the LR atties. Thsi combo will give you the biggest hottest hits. I hope this little bit helps. It has worked for me.

Do not give up, there is hope!!

I second what Hoosier said (first off). Second, I used to smoke my analogs like how you describe. I've never been much of a TH (throat hit) gal, but I loved my little menthol nicotine "buzz". I used to smoke lights or ultra lights.

Anyway, it's absolutely all about the juice!!

I found a happy medium somewhere around 12mg, and a blend of VG/PG somewhere around 50/50 or 60 PG to 40 VG. Too much PG wasn't giving me enough vapor and made my mouth itch. Too much VG and my attomizers got clogged up and I wasn't getting much flavor.

Read the reviews on the different smoke juice vendors. I've become a big fan of the fruit flavors, as well as the "bubble gum" flavor that Viking Vapor sells. Try the smoke juice from a few different vendors until you find a flavor that just says "AH! I can DO this!" and then slowly you'll find you're reaching more for your PV than you are an analog.

As far as a nice PV that looks low key and easy to carry, you almost can't beat the old standby JoyE 510. I'm a big fan of this PV, you can get cartomizers, standard attys, low resistance attys (that burn a little hotter), manual batteries, automatic batteries, and now they even make an attomizer that you can outfit with a little liquid "tank" instead of having to refill carts.

By the way, the whole cart filling thing for me got old really quick, one of the first things I bought for my 510 was a metal "drip tip" so all I had to do was put a few drops of liquid right onto the attomizer - no filler to dry out an taste bad.

This site is an awesome resource. Be patient with yourself, don't beat yourself up if you have an occasional analog, just keep your eye on the ultimate goal to get to vaping 100% of the time.

I haven't had an analog since February of 2010 - and couldn't be happier.

Here's how I did it and I'm not alone.

You are switching not quitting. Don't sweat the cigarettes you have. Celebrate the cigarettes you don't. Smoke when you must but, when you do, don't do anything else. Go outside or wherever you have to but, don't be watching TV or looking at the computer. Notice how those cigarettes taste and make you feel. Vape all you want. Find the right juice and nic level. After a while, you'll notice you aren't enjoying those cigarettes all that much. Then it's easy to put them down.
