had dreams of smoking and cravings but mostly just because ive been really anxious the last 6 months. just smoked one a minute ago tasted great n smelled great but didn't help at all i prefer my pv

If you get stressed vape more! That's what I did and continue to do so that I do not even crave analogs anymore.

I think the point if the post kind of got lost... There's been ton of threads about quitting analogs. I'm taking about the DIRTY high.

I dont crave the nicotene anymore from cigs because I'm getting it in another form. But I still crave that weird feeling cigs gave me. No I dont mean the nicotine high, im waaay familiar with that feeling. I guess I'm trying to say the feelng you get cause you smoke the rest of the crap that's in cigs like arsenic.

I know its kind of sick, but I wonder if anyone else gets that craving too.

Nope.

I vaped when I could and smoked when I had to. Woke up one day and discovered I had forgotten to smoke the day before. Had some VERY mild cravings for about a week, but that was it. No more.

I spent about 5 weeks finding a juice strength and flavor that would work for me. The flavor ended up being the last thing I expected when I started, bought it as a joke even.

thats what ive been doing but doesnt always help, think my nic lvl is to high and making me even more anxious cuz im vaping probably about 32mg right now and still stuck on it all day till my other liquid gets here n i have something more to cut it with

Try a lower nic lvl like 24mg and then you can vape more often and not get nic sick. you can also have 32 for higher stress times and 18 or 24 for all the time vaping.

Exactly. 7 weeks for me today and haven't looked back. I vaped constantly. Sometimes I would get out of bed to vape. Sit at the kitchen counter and vape till 3am. I would think to myself "WOW this is great".

I haven't had a craving at all. I can smell analogs a mile away. I'm so glad I'm done with the smell on my clothes, breath, and truck.
Finally I can open my locker at the gym and not be embarrassed by the stench that was my clothes. NO MORE OVERFLOWING ASHTRAYS!

Also, we all talk about the savings we realize when we vape wether it's current or future (due to equipment acquisition syndrome). What about not having to jump in the truck and hit the local Kwik Trip at $4 a gallon gas to pick up a couple packs of analogs?

Like another poster mentioned, the only time I ever got any kind of buzz from smoking a cigarette was the very first time I smoked. As a matter of fact, it's only been since I started hanging out here at ECF that I discovered a nicotine/tobacco buzz was actually a real thing! I did find that smoking seemed to enhance other buzzes - with alcohol, for instance - but smoking on it's own? Nope. Some people must be more sensitive to it than others, I guess. I feel a little cheated! Haha... Not that I'd ever go back to smoking to find out what it's all about! Today marks exactly two months since my last analog, and I have no desire to pick it up again. Vaping is miraculous...

Yes Jeffyh. I think I know what you mean. I can't put my finger on what it WAS exactly but it was an almost instant "hit" that was oh so familiar and welcomed. E-cigs just don't do that for me at all. They keep me from chewing my arms off but in no way do they give me that same feeling as smokes did. I can't say I "enjoy" vaping like I did smoking :( Hate to admit that but it's true, BUT strangely enough I have no desire to smoke a cigarette. I'm just aware and a bit sad to be missing that "hit" feeling.
I read somewhere that it's not the nicotine that gives you the buzz/hit but it's the carbon monoxide? Temporary lack of oxygen to the brain or something? Yikes! Now that's pretty damned dirty if that's what it was.
I think I'll stick to vaping and just float along nicely.

I been off cigs for well over 4 months. Within 1 week I knew I had already hated cigs. Last week co-worker bought a pack of djarum black clove cigars and said try one and see if you still like it. I said I would later on in the day. One thing I realized was the weight difference. I am vaping an Inferno. I pick up that lil clove cigar and was amazed at how light it was. Felt so weird. Then I lit it and BAM grossness. But I had to finish it cuz I back then I get ...... when someone bums a cig and tosses it out half way. Ugh I was doing 1 puff on cigar and 2 hits on inferno till the end of it. Never again. At least until I somehow get my hands on my fav. djarum black cigarettes that the FDA banned.

I still crave. As a matter of fact, I'm having a particularly rough patch this evening. None of my flavors, though pleasing, or nicotine content are helping. I'm sure it isn't helping that I'm in the process of buying a new place, moving, and my husband still smoking in front of me. I have all I can do to not have an analog at this time. But....I am hanging in there.

I tried to quit cold turkey. Quit on a Wednesday. By Saturday, I wanted an analog so bad. Husband had a pack in his pocket and I knew all I had to do was ask for one, but I didnt want to. I told him about my want/need and he suggested an E-Cig. We stopped at a local gas station and they had an e-cig that looks just like an analog and he bought it for me. It helped with the craving. We left for Texas the next evening and I took two of their filter things with me. One was empty and the other I emptied. We left Texas the next day and I had to find a place that sold the something I could vape. In Oklahoma, we stopped at a Wal-Mart gas station and they had the cartomizers. I grabbed a pack of those and they were better than the filter things I had. I vaped those for about 2-3 weeks before I got my 510. After that initial Saturday, I havent craved an analog. But boy, I have become quite the vapoholic!!!

At first I missed that huge first burst of nicotine I'd get from a cig, but now I'm getting nicotine consistently throughout the day so I don't crave getting that first rush any more! If I really need it, I take a hit of 36mg, but with my REO and LR atomizer that's enough to knock my socks off for a few minutes and I prefer constant vaping to that huge hit.

I still have cravings, nic fits, but it's a craving to vape not smoke. I'm in it for the nicotine,
started using 24mg, moved up to 30mg then 36mg to kill the urge. After a couple months
I was able to cut it back down and use 22-26mg that I make myself. Don't short yourself
on the nic in the beginning, you absorb it differently and slower, and it can be a lack of nic
causing your craving.

When I was just learning to vape, using 36mg juice, my PV and equipment was lacking in
vapor production, and I was drawing on the PV all wrong, filling too much or too little.

Now vaping 20mg juice, I wouldn't be surprised if I'm getting the same level of nicotine
as I was then, with weaker juice but more nice thick vapor.

There is a learning curve in care and feeding or your PV and how to draw a vape, but it's
well worth the time and effort.

Happy Vaping!
