I know exactly what you are talking about. I still crave the cigs. I still do both though i'm down from a pack and half to two packs a day to about 3-8 cigs in a day. I find that if i haven't had one in a while they taste nasty, but the smell oooooohhhh the smell! Even when i was young the smell of a cigarette firing up was just wonderful! Maybe thats just me, but it makes me want one even though i know it tastes horrible. Plus in the last week i've driven from TN to MI to TN to FL back to TN! Plus i think i'm doing something wrong. I notice i get weaker draws sometimes, and vapor production is lower at times too. Then other times it hits great and strong with a nice kick to the throat. i dunno i'll figure it out i hope.

DC2 & tracy68... Hmm I think I've heard that before. Knowing its CO makes me not want to crave it... Next time it comes around, maybe I should just suck tailpipe fumes. That should teach me quick. Lol. Simple enough, all it comes down to is the will to stick with your choice.

Ill always have my skoal though! Nothing better than a full lip rock climbing. Ill never give that up... but of course I say that only in the interest of my PV and not dropping it down a cliff.

Those all those who quit or slowed down, props. Stay true. Sorry to those I made reminisce...

Do you vape a lot? I feel like throwing up shouldnt be a normal reaction. But thats a hell of a negative reinforcement, hah!

I don't really vape all that much. My eGo batteries last me a day each (over 24hrs) so I doubt I am vaping that much LOL

It was the taste and the smell that made me throw up not the nic

Weird question but for the people that quit/reduced smoking analogs, does anyone still crave the dirty high?

Never ever not even once since the first day I started vaping nearly 10 months ago.

Second hand smoke doesn't bother me, even smells pretty good sometimes. But I never have the urge to smoke a cig.
This after 42 years of minimum 2 pad.

I got a PV about a week ago and have been vaping a lot using the high nicotine e-liquid. I really don't know how good that is for you but its gotten me from constantly having a lip in. To be honest, i think it just moved my nicotine delivering media from dip and the occasional cigs to vaping. The good thing is that it seems a lot easier to control the urges using vaping as I'm noticing myself going to it less frequently. Either way, the other day right after climbing, my friends were smoking analogs and I wanted to see what effect my vaping had on my craving for them. I'm not sure how to describe how I felt. The only reason I smoked cigarettes was to get nicotene but taking away the nicotine aspect of it, I was still craving the physiological effects cigarettes had. What are the effects of all the other crap in cigarettes that cause the dirty high?

Nope, since I am vaping, I do not crave analogs anymore, I use non-nicotine juice in combination with champix pills, and it works great :)

I also can say that I have no desire for an analog. The day I found ecigs, I havent had an analog since, this is after 38 years of smoking (I'm ashamed to admit smoking that long but it is what it is). I've used ecigs for 4 months now.
The smell on people who smoke analogs to me, is so repulsive I want to gag now, & cant believe yes, I smelled like that too but I couldnt smell it (olfactory extinction they call it).

I've seen the same smell extinction phenomenon occur with people who have colostomy bags, they cant smell it but many others can.
As someone else on the forum here said, vaping (to me), is so similar, its just like I only switched brands.

I dont crave cigarette's anymore, but i do miss the morning buzz from that first cigarette. Tho toward the end of my smoking, i was smoking so lightly that that morning buzz became pretty extreme to the point of making it difficult for me to walk in a straight line. I dont miss the drunk buzz..I miss the tingly buzz lol.
