Okay so I thought I knew what I wanted the other day. I decided I wanted an Joye 510 T, but after a few helpful chats I guess maybe that isn't the way to go. So here I am asking for advice again......

I am currently vaping a Blu, I actually really like a few things about the Blu, probably my favorite thing is the recharging case (which, Yes I am always charging my batteries). I am definite I want to move into an tank and away from cartomizers.

Size is my issue, yes, yes, yes, I know get an Ego T................... I just CAN'T do it. I just keep looking at the picture, I'm trying to like it but and I'm uncomfortable with it. Is there anything out there with a tank that is the size of a Disposable Blu (much larger than the actual Blu) with good battery life?

You guys are all so great with advice.................

There are 510 tanks on the market that are skinny-sized like a cig. I can't vouch for them yet haven't tried or know anyone that owns one. Don't stress too much over your first kit. Get a cig-sized one if that makes you happy. Most vapers grab a second kit when it hits them they're no longer a smoker. It's a bit of panic when you realize you can't stand the taste of a cigarette and start looking for ecig backups and backups to your backups. You're at the perfect time. Sales abound. Check the Deals and Steals thread here on ECF for what's on sale where. Have fun :)

Definitely agree with going with a Volt kit and adding a tank carto. Anything tank-style carto or clearomizer with an 808D1 threading will work. If you do get a Volt of Kr808D-1 kit I would recommend you pick up a USB passthrough if you spend any time on the computer. You just plug 'er in and don't have to worry about battery life at all, and then save your batteries for when you're out and about. I use my passthough whenever I'm on my laptop or in my car, plugged into a USB car adapter.

Bought a friend an Ego-C Kit that had been using a 510 system for 3 years. He hated constantly digging for a fresh battery, I told him he would get 6-8 hours on these new 2nd generation Batt's.. First words out of his mouth when he got the Ego-C were, "It's got a nice heft to it" lol.

A few days later, he now says "It feels really good in my hand"..

For me, i would probably not feel comfortable using some of the bulky HV mods that are on the market. For him just stepping up to an Ego-C was a big change, but he's already comfortable.

Do what makes you feel comfortable, it's your vape!

Unless we have a store nearby that we can actually try out some things it becomes a bit tricky. If there is a mall kiosk somewhere close I would certainly go and check out what they have just to get an idea of the weight and size of an e-go or any other options. Don't buy it there and thank them to be sure. Hopefully it will give you at least a starting point.

I have my own suggestions but will leave them out, mostly concur with the suggestions already made. Ultimately what works for one does not for another and it goes for juice and everything else. That makes it very difficult for most of us just starting out. You just have to decide do the best to understand your gear and go from there.

Good luck to you.

You got some great advice. You seem to already know the bigger ones will give you the battery life your looking for.

Im not sure where in PA you are, but if your anywhere near Philly, Id be more than welcome to come meet you and let you try my E-Power and see if your okay with the size. I was afraid it was too big at first too but actually I really like it now and the size doesnt bother me in the slightest, and getting a day to a day and a half on one battery is well worth the bigger size.

Goodluck!

Welcome to ECF bunwabit. I'll just tell you what I use, and you can decide if you like it or not. I have an eGo passthrough, with this one you can vape plugged in, and it charges the battery at the same time, or unplug it and vape. I use dual coil cartos, good TH and vapor. Here you can get it for $16.99, and if you buy a 5-pack of cartos you get a free bottle of juice.

It's about the size of a sharpie pen, not real small, but not humongous, either. Whatever you decide, as long as it keeps you off analogs, it will be great, good luck and keep us informed as to what you get and how you're doing, ok?

Look for a MANUAL 510-T kit. I do not recommend auto, especially not 510-T auto (its charger can kill other 510 batteries). And Even though Blu and 510 have the same threading, never try to charge Blu in a 510 cable not vie versa - Blu is reverse electrical polarity and the Blu and 510 chargers (all 510 chargers) will fry each other.

If you can't ind manual 510-T kit, buy a manual 510 kit, a 510-T atomizer and 510-T tanks.

A 180mah 510 is about 100mm long with cartomizer and should be 2x the charge of Blu. And if you hate the tanks, use cartomizers.

Most new vapers I know that were concerned about size quit being concerned after they tried something at least ego sized. It's like drinking beer out of a thimble. One you get a pint glass, you'll never go back to that thimble. Let go, have a real vape. You'll be glad you saved the money trying all those 510 size devices that never quite scratch the itch.
