I don't. While sitting on my balcony now, enjoying a brisk post-rain afternoon with an XL-man in hand, I realized that I just don't have any craving whatsoever for a cig anymore. I never even think about cigs unless I'm unlucky enough to be near a smoker. (Damn, was that really me at one time? And all those laughable feelings of superiority.)

I'm not sure when it happened, though, when I completely stopped wanting or even thinking about cigs. Sometime during my second year, but that's as close I can get. What about you? And for anyone still grabbing cigs these days, what's their biggest pull for you? Just curious.

I no longer want a cigarette, per se, but there are still times when I really really want something as simple, reliable and ready-to-hand as a cigarette. :(

No filling, no topping off, no "Is it time to ditch this carto?", no charging, no "How are my taste buds doing today?" issues.

I still have a couple packs of my old brand in the freezer. I don't actually want to open one and fire up an old analog friend, because now I can't stand that smell, and don't want it on me/in my house/on my hair or clothes.

But sometimes I do so miss the simplicity, the constancy, the reliability, the sheer "at least there is this one thing I can count on" factor of a cigarette. :(

oh sighhhh, so many inappropriate things i wanna say about that.

I dont ever crave an analog either, havent had one since last september, but I do agree with Eleanor that sometimes the simplicity is a draw.

teehee! Agree completely about the XL man :p

I technically quit smoking in October 2011 using the patch. In January of this year, I was stressed out and was on my way out the door to go buy a pack of stinkies, when 'E Cig!!!' popped into my head... I called a local smoke shop, they had them in stock & I went straight over & bought my first Mistic... I tried smoking cloves once or twice the first week, and haven't touched one since! I even made it through a huge annual party with plenty if smokers, but there was no desire or longing for a cigarette - I was happy with my kGo & tank :)

Edited to add: I was a pack+ per day smoker for over 17 years with a few short quits. I'll probably be a vaper for the rest of my life, even if it's at 0 Nic :)

The only thing I miss about cigs is what El said, the simplicity. But even though PV's are a lttle more complicated, there is no cleaning up ashtrays, flicking ashes, burn holes, *accidently drinking a beer from a can that you had previously put a cig .... in*
That is one memory I don't miss :D

Yikes......... I've seen that happen! Never set your beer down!

Thanks for the responses, all. Just want to pop back to agree with Eleanor and Plant about the constant hassle of vaping. Just enough to be annoying at times. I have a strong feeling that a new carto design, in the 808 vein, will eventually simplify refilling, and I'll be the first in line.

And to the hopeless romantics who skewed my words above... clean it up!

I know exactly what you mean Eleanor, it's one of the most difficult things about vaping for me. Instead of just grabbing a pack & lighter as I head out the door, and knowing I can always buy either out & about if I do run out, now I have to really think about what I am likely to need, may need in a worst case scenario.

At times yes Jeffree sir. Still a smoker.... Kinda like an alcoholic... One would put me back into the habit....

And that is another aspect of it. I do think that just one cigarette would be the end of my abstinence. I could not have even one, I suspect.

Heheheee. XL man in hand?:lol::lol:

I have no craving at all and I smoked for close to thirty year's! I did panic yesterday when a spring wasp grazed my neck........old standby remedy was a pinch of tobacco moistened with saliva and the sting is instantly neutralized. Sunddenly I realized I had no cig! Sd to husband I wonder if I can buy two from someone to keep on hand! lol
