How hot is it getting, and which part/parts are heating up?

Not to over simplify here, but being its new and you're likely using it/holding it for extended periods testing, could it be body heat/atty heat transferring into the mod?

For example, ill hold a mod for a long period/taking an occasional puff, set it down, then pick it up a minute or so later and it feels warm.

As weird as it sounds i've found the best way to tell if it's actually overly warm is to touch the body of the mod to your lips.

I started simple mainly because that mod should have as close to nearly perfect conductivity as possible and you're not drawing an excessive amount of power at those resistances.

Its not getting hot at all its just generally warm. my turtle ship gets warm usually at the top but I know that is because of the atty. The stingray gets warm throughout the whole mod.. Also this only occurs when I am chain vaping

Judging by this info and what i know about copper's ability to conduct heat (just confirmed via google), its almost guaranteed to be due to the fact that copper is nearly an 8x better thermal conductor than stainless, and at least 3x better at conducting heat than brass.
