Cool, dark cabinet is where I store my bottle that I use for mixing. My long-term storage is the deep freeze, but you don't want to do that with a regular use bottle because you have to let it come to room temperature before opening it so condensation doesn't form inside, watering down your nic.

ETA: my VG and PG are stored in the same cabinet as my nic ... And my basket of flavors, and spare bottle, and mixing beakers, and so on and so forth.

If you buy NIC in large quantity then rebottle in bottle sizes that will last you 3 - 6 months. For example I divide 1 liter bottles into 8 120ml bottles because 120 ml's last me 3 - 6 months. I keep out one bottle for everyday use and freeze the rest.

Bottles stored in a dark cupboard will last a year before oxidizing and turn harsh. NIC stored in a freezer will last well over 10 years. I have bottles in the freezer well over 4 years old that are as fresh as the day I put them in there.
