I bet I'm not the only one who has a strange dissatisfaction with whatever I happen to be vaping at any one time.

I'll be good for a week or so and then something will go wrong and it will take me a couple of days to get it all sorted out again.

I will preach 8mg and 80VG only to find out that I prefer 12mg and 30 VG.

It's very, very strange.

Are there any of you out there that have been happy with your configuration for an extended period? and if so WHAT IS IT!

Well I'm happy with a ratio of juice 80vg/20pg or 100vg. I dislike a lot of throat hit so anymore pg I dislike. But I have 2 set ups and I change between 3-4 juices throughout the day because I get bored with the same flavor a lot. My nicotine doesn't change though unless the juice I like at the time doesn't come in 3mg.

For example, I really love the Artist Collection by NJOY and that doesn't come in 3mg. I also love the juices from Army Cook Vapors.

Sounds good. How long have you been happy with this? I think I have the solution for the rest of my life and then my machine starts gurgling or I lose the flavour or I get dry mouth or a sore nose or congestion.

I would like a vape that just doesn't cause problems.

If you're at 3mg it might not matter. You are home free I would think.

You most certainly are not the only one who goes through this stuff Bernard. I've been vaping for going on three years now. During the first year I vaped at least three setups with different juices alternately in a vape session. I did that to keep from getting vaper's tongue and to keep me satisfied with the variation in my vapes. During that year I slowly reduced my nic levels until I was nic free at the end. I also took my hardware up in power until I was vaping around 25-30 watts and settled there.

These days I vape almost exclusively a Reo Grand with a dual coil, 27 gauge wire, bottom fed Cyclone RDA, at 0.3 - 0.35 ohms. I use the same diy juice for weeks sometimes and only really change things up by adding a drop of a different flavoring to a tank when I feel like it.

I think we all have our own path with this and it will take us where we and it decide to go.

Wow. I guess the high nic works with the high VG. I've done 100% VG but it clogs up my lungs. Then again it depends on how you take it. I can see a nasal thing maybe. There certainly are a lot more receptors there if it doesn't cause a problem. I bet you have a prodigious nose.

No nic though?

I love the nic.

Oh, I've been thru several setups, several flavors. I seem to stick with something for a couple of months, then find something else, then go back to the other thing. There was a time when evods were the bees knees...then carto tanks...then kayfuns...then protanks with airflow controller.

My wife, however, has been happily using ancient T2 clearos for nearly 2 years. I envy her sometimes. Naw, not really. Where's the fun in that.

You're not the only one.

I use 6 tanks in my daily rotation. When it is time to change the carto and wash a tank, I fill it with something else, unless it is in my permanent rotation...

Good advice. I change devices (batteries as well) when things break down as far as satisfaction goes and usually find something that lasts for a while. My most dramatic move is to revert right down to a single 3.7 volt battery for a few days and then work my way back up.

I can see how building variety into your routine might work very well.

This doesn't answer the question of why this happens though.

IMO there is nothing wrong with nic. I wanted to leave it behind just because I wanted to do that. I think of smoking more as a cigarette addiction rather than a nicotine addiction because there are so many more addictive chemicals at work in cigarette smoke compared to vapor.

Yes, no nic means no TH and that kinda sucks but I went with it anyways and got used to it . It worked for me, but YMMV.

I'm vaping 3 mg of nic tonight and it's good. I'm also having a couple of beers and that makes the whole experience even better :thumb:. I'll be back to no nic for another month or so tomorrow

I just like change every now and then- just like I don't eat the same food every day. When I smoked, sometimes it was menthol, sometimes just plain tobacco...

Well when I started I tried several hundred dollars worth of juices and finally decided to make my own. If they can do it so can I and probably better. I can't do the all vg crap that most are hung up on. One thing I can say is I do 70/30 pg/vg and haven't had any illness in the last there years. If I had to buy the same crap I make at home for 15/20 a bottle I probably would no longer vape and the way I feel now after smoking 47 years I would not go back to cigs.

I had a gorgeous run for about two weeks with 12 mg 70/30 pure menthol and figured this was it for the rest of my life. Gad, I was rushing off my first hit in the morning with my coffee. Then my nose gave out from I guess too much stimulation and started to strongly tickle all the time. Rats. I loved the clean hit it was giving me.

I'm now looking around. I tried a similar mixture with blueberry but it isn't the same. I tried blueberry espresso (too soft). I really want to get back to the menthol but for my darn nose. I think I will try it again tomorrow with 8 mg and avoid nose inhales.

Well I love the menthol. Everything else seems kind of week. Just watch out it doesn't hurt your nasal passages.

I have reloaded to 8 mg 80/20 and the first hit was fantastic. We'll see where this goes.

I recall that smokes used to taste like garbage most of the time and make me cough up stuff and lose my breath and make me want to throw up.

I do a lot of menthol. I never smoked menthol cigs, hate them, but for vaping it does it for me. If I vape it too much menthol it starts to taste really bad though.

So now I use just enough to be good for the long haul. This is really about a lot of variables that can come together to make a good long term vape ... or not. It takes time, patience and maybe a bit of not needing it so much any more, or maybe not.

I don't know ... I think I'm just rambling at this point, LOL
