Heya. So I've been vaping and off cigs for a week now. The first few days were really easy, but for some reason, now I'm starting to struggle. I'm using 24mg nicotine liquids from two different manufacturers (eliquidplanet and cleanvaporstore, dunno if it makes a difference though).

Has anyone else had the same problem? I've been getting the shakes the past few days but I find it weird awkward how they just started and not in the first 48 hours. Regardless, I'm going to tough it up but I started vaping a lot more. I was thinking of getting a bigger battery for a better throat hit but I don't really want to spend much more money, one of the reasons was I quit smoking was to save on money aside from the health thing.

Does anyone have any tips to make it easier?

Thanks, and sorry for coming to you guys with this...

Hmm, I did try to quit before on the patch but I kept smoking so I know what my body is like when I get too much nicotine, its not the same this time. I'll cut down to one of my 18mg flavors tonight though and see what happens. Honestly, I started a new job today and didn't really go out on more than 2 smoke breaks to vape, maybe that's the problem.

As for the rest of your post, getting more throat hit.

Do you want more throat feel? Or more vapor production?

Any battery is regulated in some way or another, so frequently a bigger battery just gives you longer between charges. You either need to move to a mech or regulated MOD to get what you are looking for. What unit do you have currently? What tank?

Forgot to answer your question before sorry, I was at 1.5ish packs a day. Anywhere from 1-2 depending on what I was doing.

And honestly, A little bit of both. I have quite a few flavors, but unfortunately the ones I really like are too light, even at 24mg (coffee, tobacco, hazelnut). Right now I'm vaping a blueberry at 24mg even though I don't like it as much because it tastes stronger. I would like to have more vapor production though just to imitate the smoke for my body plus would be easier to play with it making o's and stuff hehe.

Thank you Margate69!

I got nauseous and the shakes too about a day after quitting. This (for me anyway, I'm not a doctor) was from cigarette withdrawals, not from vaping. There are so many other addictive chemicals in cigarettes that we become addicted to when we smoke. I thought my symptoms were from my e cig at first, then after doing some research, I found that I was going through cig withdrawls. For me it passed within a few days. Hope this helps!

I didn't try to quit smoking entirely. I started vaping so I wouldn't chain smoke while driving 300+ miles. That worked very well. Then I got aggravated with all the bugs that would get inside when I would go out to smoke of an evening so staying cool & bug-free inside during the long hot summer was just a bonus effect.

All of those chemicals from the cigarettes you were smoking take a while to work their way out of your system. This is why you didn't feel the effects for the first few days. The residual build up was keeping you from withdrawal symptoms. As someone else already stated your body had a buildup of thousands of different chemicals, not just the nicotine. That is why the vaping does not stop the symptoms, because it is not the nicotine you are withdrawing from. This should pass in a few days. Then you will start feeling great!

As for the suggestion of getting an iTaste MVP, I think that this is a great idea. I have one and I love it! (check out 101 Vape.com they have it for $39 right now!) I was lucky enough to win mine from Mt Baker and I am so glad I did. I probably would not have bought one but now that I have one it is awesome. I have recommended them to all my friends and family.

I hope this helps you and Good Luck!!!

Yes you are getting tobacco withdrawals it is sounding like to me with you mentioned a bit of anxiety creeping in, not nicotine withdrawal. You got a bunch of other nasty chemicals your body is purging out and getting used to not having you are not getting out of any e-liquid. You might try a naturally extracted tobacco juice which will have a couple more compounds out of tobacco leaf you don't get from just the straight nic liquids of most vendors. If it is to much for you right now, crutch on some SNUS, or even try 1/3 or 1/2 an actual cig, don't knock the suggestion, I was a 1 1/2 PAD full flavor Marbs smoker for 23years, nor think breaking down and doing this crutching is a failure, when I first started vaping full time, I set aside 4 cigs a day my first couple weeks to a month before I could just walk away from the cigs entirely. Getting a stronger throat hit now, well you can try stepping up to an inexpensive VV/VW battery like a Vision Spinner (VV), iTaste VV/VW V3, MVP V2 (VV/VW), etc, change your coil resistance to around 1.5ohms to get a warmer, stronger vape, or try adding a few drops of vodka or everclear into your liquid (will thin the liquid up a bit but add a punch to the flavor and throat hit at the cost of some vapor output).

Keep trying new juices and get a vv/vw device so you can up the power. Also you don't have to go completely off the cigs overnight, try vaping first before you light up a cigarette whenever you get the urge and before you know it you'll transition the addiction from smoking to vaping. It took me two weeks to comfortably ween myself of cigarettes, and my friend who just started vaping a week ago is down to one cigarette a day.

If you're wondering why I liked your comment, it's because I do the apologizing thing too, especially when I'm stressed out. I like to say it's because my mother is Canadian (I kid any Canadians here).

As for the withdrawal, I haven't made the full switch off of cigarettes myself, and unfortunately I'm smoking more analogs than I did in the first few days. Those additives are insidious. I run out in a couple of days though, and I will try to be strong. Hopefully by then my Boba's Bounty will be here. Maybe we can be withdrawal buddies. :D

You are definitely just going through cig withdraws. Those feelings are awful but once you get through them you will feel great. A tip that worked for me is to drink tons of water and do physical activity that makes you sweat. Some of those nasty chemicals can be flushed out in a couple days of high liquid intake.

Keep strong, a couple days of feeling terrible is worth a life of not smoking.

Ok so this if my first post but i've been surfing the forum for a couple of months now, Stick with it I was smoking 1 to 2 packs of Marlboro reds for the last 24 years I finally I hope got rid of those without spending a fortune like some other people seem to, I just got the basic starter kit with the 600 battery and a cv4 cartimizor and some joise and said that's it I've sense bought one more bottle of juice because I bought the 24mg nic to start with and it was to much so now i'm down to 12mg of nic and loving life. The next step i'm going to try is 100% VG to see if I can get a better taste before spending money i don't have on another unit.

Hey there Emilios,
CONGRATS on the week...

Found that "the detox effects" kicked in on me, some where around week 3. Kids all thought having one or two cigs might help.....
but then I found this in the ECF library.

"If your smoking is gradually reducing, you are winning. If you still have strong cravings after 3 weeks, and have tried 36mg liquid from at least two different vendors (there is always a possibility that one supplier's products may not be the full strength as marked), and have also tried higher power with no improvements - and if you want to get through this bit as quickly as possible - then your best course of action is to add Snus to your regime."

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/211345-new-users-nicotine-strength-questions.html

Found a 36 mg "Dunhill Tobacco" flavor, at the local B&M, and grabbed some VG (WallyWorld) and made a mix just for the "ultra shakes". The extra VG made more vapor, and the extra nic seemed to get me over the hump.

Hang in there, the ride does get better....soon.

Different equipment isn't going to make much of a difference ..... yet. You are still detoxing.

Different e-liquids might tho'. Just be careful with nicotine strengths. As often as not when first starting off to much nicotine can be mistaken for to little. You might think you have the jitters from not enough nicotine when in fact you are mildly overdosing.
